I had expected for everything to go downhill on Friday morning. Surprisingly, the only mishap was Xiumin dropping his toast because he was so tired. Yes, the boys slept over the previous night. Kai and Xiumin took the guest room, D.O and Suho took the air mattress, and the other eight sprawled out on either the couches or the floor.
Breakfast was hectic. D.O and I spent all morning making enough french toast to supply 14 people, with the two managers added on. Xiumin dropped his, of course, and Kris ended up giving one of his to his clumsy hyung.
In current time, we were all dressed in somewhat formal wear, fixing each other's hair and such. The managers, Mr. Lee and Mr. Park, were planning to drive seven of us each in two vans. I didn't know who I was in with yet, but judging by the fact Mr. Park held a list in his hand, he chose seats.
As we arrived in the well visited parking lot behind our apartment building, I began to question if Mr. Park was placing the ships together in the ride, or if he was separating the people who were causing the problem (Kris and Tao, D.O and I, Luhan and Hajae). I secretly wished that the golf day never happened, but that would mean Tao and Kris never even kissed.
"Alright, young idols." Mr. Park was visibly terrible with introductions and making speeches with people he hardly knew. "Mr. Lee will drive the left van, and I'll drive the right. There will be seven more with us in each, and I already chose who goes in what van."
Mr. Lee added on to Mr. Park's explanation, "You can sit where you please in the van, but you have to be in the right van."
Mr. Park nodded to officiate his statement, then began reading off names. "With Mr. Lee will be Kai, Tao, Lay, Hajae, Chanyeol, Suho, and Kyungsoo. That means Chen, Sehun, Hyojin, Xiumin, Baekhyun, Kris, and Luhan are with me."
With those names read off to us, we went to our designated vans. I was in the van on the right side, which meant we were leading the way.
In the passenger side was Xiumin. Behind his seat, on my right, was Sehun. On my left was Chen. Behind Chen, in the back row, was Baekhyun. Beside him, and behind me, was Luhan. And next to Luhan was Kris.
"Alright," Mr. Park said as he climbed into the driver's seat. "We got a long trip ahead of us. No fighting, keep your hands to yourself, and don't cause a wreck."
There were reasons I loved Mr. Park. This was one of them.
"But I like flailing my hands around, Mr. Park." Chen informed, making his hands wave in my face.
"Alright," Mr. Park sighed, "Hands to yourself, except for Jongdae. Now let's go."
Chen cheered, poking me in the face repeatedly, abusing his power of being able to touch others that can't touch him. I groaned, realizing how long of a trip we were about to experience.
"You put me in the wrong van, Sir!" I shouted, gesturing to the idiot stabbing his finger into my cheek. "It's not too late!"
"Sorry but I tried to avoid putting ships together. Did you notice who isn't in the van?"
Lay was in the other van. Tao was in the other van, and Hajae was with them, while Kris, Luhan, and I were here. Did he know about Lay and I? I never said anything to him, though Hajae mentioned Luhan during the interview.
"Who do you ship, Mr. Park?" Sehun asked.
Mr. Park started the van, booking it out of the parking lot at a high speed, making us all slide into each other. Just as soon as we hit the highway, he slowed down to a normal speed and looked at him in the mirror.
"What do you mean? In Exo, or in general...?"
"Any ships from SM." Sehun added. Mr. Park started to think again, then chuckled to himself.
