*HAJAE'S POV*
It had been the weirdest two weeks I ever experienced. Two weeks of having Kai and Xiumin back, and knowing Exo. Two weeks of being rookies and being on the way to stardom.
And one single week of having issues beyond compare, including more drama than a normal idol experiences. We weren't even famous yet.
On the way home, my van was calmer than usual. Considering that I had Kai with me, that was unexpected. I heard nothing about the second van as we arrived home, which made me worry that something bad happened.
Hyojin came home and went straight to bed, though it was 7 when we arrived. She was followed by Xiumin, but he sauntered out to the living room shortly after. Hyojin must've locked him out.
No one else came home to our apartment, other than Kai and Xiumin. The managers decided it would be safer to limit our time together until it all went away. No one knew what day that would be, but if it meant we all had to hang out separately, with less time to have fun, then I hoped to god that day came close.
As it was a fríday evening, we didn't have practice for a few days. I forgot if we had stuff on Monday or not. I'd ask Hyojin eventually, though I wondered if she'd even leave her room. She and I liked our rooms, though.
My phone went off beside me, playing Exo-M's History. That meant I received a call from Luhan. It was his own special ringtone.
I picked it up, hitting the answer button. He instantly started talking non stop.
"What's happening? How are Xiumin and Kai? Hyojin upset? Did the goldfish get fed?"
I face palmed at his words automatically. "First, everyone's fine. Second, we don't have a goldfish, and we never have."
He shortly laughed into the phone. "I know, I just called to talk to you. I wanted to make it seem like I was wondering about the others, but I figured they were fine."
That made me giggle, knowing he cared so much for me. Then I remembered we were supposed to limit our contact with each other until this blew over. "Luhan, I can't talk with you often."
I could hear him sigh, "I know, I know. I just wish none of this happened."
"We all do."
He made a sound, mixed with a second sigh and a whine, "I miss you already."
"We just got out of the vans 10 minutes ago." I couldn't stop the chuckle from my mouth.
"Shush, don't make fun of me for loving you!"
I didn't have a response to that. I always hoped he loved me, but I never truly heard it from him.
"Do you think if we asked SM, they'd let us be in a relationship, like Baekhyun and Taeyeon?" He suddenly asked.
It peaked my interest for a moment, thinking of the possibility of being able to live freely. But I also remembered certain things. "Not unless everyone's okay with it. If there's anyone who's against it, it isn't allowed or something."
"Is there someone who isn't okay with it?" He was oblivious.
It was kind of obvious in my eyes that someone wasn't okay with it. All the times Kai would hug me in front of everyone, or tease Luhan and I because he was closer to me, of the time he dry-humped me in the van, it all seemed like he wouldn't be okay with Luhan and I being together, though I couldn't tell if he liked me or just did it to annoy us.
"Never mind. I gotta go. We aren't supposed to be talking as often." I mentioned.
"Okay... I love you, Jae-Jae."
