Ania quietly got up from the bed and walked towards her study table. She pulled open the top drawer and took out her boxes of markers, sketch pens etc.

Slowly she began putting her feelings into words. She wrote about how, from as far back as she could remember, Rahul had never just been her older brother
He had been the one who woke her up for school on difficult mornings. The one who checked whether she'd eaten breakfast. The one who attended parent teacher meetings without ever making her feel like she was missing anyone.
The one who sat beside her during exams, celebrated every little achievement, and stood by her through every mistake. The one who always corrected her whenever she made mistakes . He had spend countless evenings where he had patiently helped her with homework despite returning home exhausted from work
Rahul had quietly filled every empty space without ever asking for credit
She paused for a moment, blinking away the tears gathering in her eyes before continuing
Each sentence came straight from her heart. When she finally finished writing, she decorated the borders with tiny hand drawn stars, little coffee mugs because Rahul could never function without coffee and at last she added
"Home has always been wherever you are"
Aarav who turned saw her sitting on the chair got up and silently stood beside her
"Bohot pyaara" he said softly and she flinched
"Dara dia aarav" she kept her hand on her chest
"Dekhao" he said and she handed him the card and he read it
"Acha lagega unhe" she asked
By the time he reached the last paragraph, a faint smile had appeared on his face and his eyes glistened with unshed tears
"Pata hai" he said and she hummed
"If bhaiya reads this, he will definitely cry" he said
"Bhaiya aur rona?" She asked
"Haan."
"Impossible"
"Trust me" Aarav smiled
"Chalo letto time dekho" he said and she nodded she went to washroom while aarav again read the whole thing and swallowed the lump in his throat
He had watched Rahul sacrifice his own youth to raise them.
He had seen him stay awake through nights whenever either of them fell sick, work tirelessly without a complaint, and carry responsibilities that were never meant for someone his age
