Chapter 10

Melody's POV:

We get back to the house and see that Lynz is already up with Bandit. I walk in, say bye to Bandit as she is about to
go to school, and tell Gee and Lynz that I'm going up to my room. I get up to my room and process what has happened the last few days, while listening to music of course.

Dang, a lot has happened. I got adopted, I met my favorite band, I've moved to California. All I need is my friends and then it will be perfect.

"Melody, we are about to leave so get downstairs." I hear Gee yell. I flinch when he yells. Just a habit from the orphanage. I get up and walk downstairs. "Ok, so where do you want to go first?" He asks.

"Um.... How about target?" I say. He nods.

"Ok. Let me text Lynz and tell her to meet us there." He says. I nod. We he'd out the door to go to Target.

When we arrive at Target, I go strait for the hats and pick out a few beanies. Then, I go and get some bedding. I got a gray, white and blue comforter, some blue sheets with white polka dots, and a zebra blanket. I then go to the music, book and electronics section. I stay there until Gee and Lynz find me. We go checkout and then head to the mall.

I go straight to Hot Topic. I get some band tees, a skull dress, some skinny jeans, some Harry Potter socks (again HUGE nerd), and a doctor who belt.

"You will probably need a lanyard for school, so go ahead and get one." Gee told me. I sighed. I really didn't want to but I did. I went and got an All Time Low lanyard.

We went to checkout and start to head out when I saw 2 familiar people from the corner of my eye. I turn my head to see who it is. I about scream when I see it. I run over, earning a confused look from my parents, and hug them. They are confused at first, then see my face.

"OMG, Hey" Amelia says.

"Hey, Mel. Can you get off us now? I can't breath." Marie says.

"Oh, yeah. Sorry." I say. "So, what have you guys been up to since I last saw you?"

"The usual. School. Homework. Acting. And for Marie dancing." Amelia says.

"Cool." I say.

"So, why are you out here in Cali?" Marie asks.

"I got adopted." I say.

"Awesome." Amelia says. Her phone buzzes. "We need to go. How 'bout we exchange numbers?" We nod and exchange phones.

"I'm gonna put you into a group chat with Abigail, Sue, and Ann since y'all have iPhones." I say. They nod and say goodby. I head back over to where Gee and Lynz are standing.

"Who were they?" Lynz asks.

"Just some old friends from the orphanage." I say. They nod. We leave and head to Forever 21. I get a few skirts and jumpers. While me and Lynz were shopping, Gee went to another store to get something. I didn't know what so I didn't think about it. When he got back, we checked out and headed to Home Depot.

Gerard's POV:

While the girls were shopping, I decided to go get the girls somethings. My first stop was the jewelry store. I saw a treble clef necklace and immediately thought of Melody. I also saw a necklace that had a charm that said Daddy's Girl and a necklace with a clef heart. I decided to get all three. The treble clef for Mel, the Daddy's Girl for Bandit, and clef heart for Lynz. I payed for them and headed for the Apple Store.

I got Ms. Artsy a blue iPhone 5c and some new headphones. She is always is listening to music and texting so why not. My next stop was the art store. I got Mel some arts supplies and some for me also. I payed for it and headed for my last stop.

The music store. I got Melody one of everything she said she played and the stuff that went with it. I payed for it and headed to the car. I decided to go ahead and take it home so I can surprise her. I head back to the mall and found the girls. Then we headed to Home Depot.

Melody's POV:

We head to Home Depot and get some paint. I get black and blue. We checkout and head home.

We get home and immediately start working on my room. I decided to paint two walls black and two walls blue. We put some newspaper on the floor, put on some of Gee's old t-shits and get to work. I did the edges and Gee and Lynz did the insides. We were done by 2:50. Dang! We did the whole room in two hours. By that time, Lynz had to go get Bandit. Gee and I start cleaning up my room. When we get done, Bandit and Lynz arrive home. Gee and Lynz start making dinner and me and Bandit pick out a movie. For once in my life I actually feel like I am important and have an actual family.
