LAST VACATION

chapter 9

As much as things may have happened and seemed to bring a big ditch to the once perfect family, jimmy didn't think it was right to just let everything be as it was going.

Slowly, they seemed to be splitting, the boys basically just played games everyday, every hour, every minute or second they got.
They women just occupied their minds with some new recipe for food or a snack to bake.
Hanna spent most of her time in her room, no doubt, thinking.

Timmy always on a newspaper or sport magazine.

The last time he needed an advice was a few days back and that was when last he saw stunt in person.

Everything had happened and gone but yet it felt like it was all just begining.

He had no time to think over anything or even try and pull the the family together as he had his last runs to do, cases to clear before his judicial appointment.

He had one more major case to deal with and needed his whole time just as before, to think of the right evidence, proofs and so on.
After it, it will be the last time he'll ever fight for a cclient.
He will be judging just really soon.
He will be a Judge.

The case on his table now, took all his time, the man Ben had done a lot to his wife jessica but yet had a lot of proof for everything. He even had more charges to press on the few things his had done. Or let's say ex-wife.
The lady seemed too broken, she was going to give up the case and let the man have the children, he seemed to have all the pictures of her with other men, full blown videos of her and other men at clubs, restaurants and a lot of her making out.

The poor children, Becky and Tom, been too close to their mother didn't mind, they wanted her for all it cost and not their father, it seed they didn't even like him, they didn't know much about him and we're not used to him, but the crook went on to proofto the court how his ex-wife had talked the children into everything.

At some point the whole court was conviced.
Just some minutes for the cross examination to end and the judge will pronounce his judgement, the young man dashed in.

He looked so helpless and needy,lost maybe the most appropriate way to put it. His clothes had a few parch. He most been kept captive some where, beaten up as his face had bruises and cuts, he knew the Jessica who only seemed shocked, knew the Ben who only Ben his head as if hiding. He kept shouting there names.

How he got in, no one knew, but it was clear, he sneaked through security.
The judges face showed nothing but annoyance, who would let such a lawless person into a court room presiding on a case.

The judge banged the gavel on his desk just as the security ran in pulling the young man roughly out of the court room.
"NO" he shout out.
"Lemme in....lemme tell this court the truth" he shouted as his eyes landed on Ben
"that bastard is a liar....a fucking liar....." he shouted some more outing his fingers at Ben, his voice trailed of as he was pulled out by the security.

Jimmy took in a deep breath. Clearly, he was winning the case.

The case was adjourned for yet a few hours, all he, jimmy, had to do was make sure he had a word with the young boy next, he'll plead with the judge to let him stand as a witness. Though it may not be possible as the young man was not on their official list for witnesses.

The final section of the case was in progress, from the look of things, Ben had nothing to use against all the young man had to say. It was not all that hard getting the judge to the boy stand as witness.

He was called in the box in person of Lucas, he'd sworn to tell nothing but the truth on Both the bible and Quran been he a pegan.

Lucas had been the person stalking Jessica and making the required videos, and pictures.Ben had promised Lucas a hug pay after his stalking job but after, he got nothing but brutal biting and had been kept away for days so he could not have access to Jessica or anyone inorder to tell the truth.

He managed to escape from his capture and had seen the case on tv in a bar, and here he was, after sneaking through the court security and had pulled such a scene, he was glad to tell the truth and get relieved of his guilt.
He was sorry for what he had done and pleaded for pardon.

The court fell silent.

Jimmy made a brief nod to the judge as he took a his sit beside his Ben's lawyer. Being the last to cross examine Lucas. Ben's lawyer had taking the lead but had just a few obvious questions. It was clear his client had not informed him of Lucas and as such, his questions were just for necessity.

The tension was indeed high but everyone knew what the judgement would be.

The judge cleared his throat, adjusted his sit and sat forward.

"Here is my judgement"

Another round of total silence.

The judgment came clear and very well understood.

Jessica will have her kids, Ben was to keep away, as they were now officially divorced, could only see the children if Jessica permits or if the children would like to see him. He also had a few public service to attain for a 6 months and that was that.
Case closed.

Jimmy walked out of the court room after so much acknowledgment from Jessica and a lot of other persons.
He couldn't help but feel happy and proud.

He had won the case.
His last case and next,to expect, he will be judging, just as the judge on his case had done.

Peace of mind was what he felt.
After his victorious ending, he felt a happy family time will be great. Family bounding.

He had called them all together been home now, to share his hippie news.

They spent the night having fun.
The night was just as good, they played their usual games, the normal "guess who".

You describe someone and the first person to guess who it is gets what they asked for. Tho the prize had its limit.

Daco got everyone laughing as he always described the obvious, his favourite Austrilian chef.

And as usual,he will take the normal procedure in his distributions.

The night didn't go unnoticed as Hanna was the one happy and playful girl, all smiles as always just like before and no one failed to notice how much Daco and stunt had become buddies.

Jimmy went ahead to announce to the family his big plan.
His plan of having a grand dinner, just his way of celebrating his little last victory and his long awaited moment that was coming soon enough, he would invite a few friends.

Everyone was free to invite who ever they wanted. Maybe some casual date.

The smilies on their faces as they stood to say their good night's was what made jimmy's heart to have some happy tingle. It was good to have this moment again.

Clearly, no one could wait for the dinner the next day.
The night better end soon.
