LAST VACATION

chapter 2

They might have started with everyone all happy and energetic but as the day drew in, it was not the same.
With Hanna now going back to crambs and constant lay in bed, no one seemed happy which resulted to her mom checking on her more often.

Well at morning she was up and doing, not like she seemed alright by her looks, but it was clear she was trying to shake it off.
But at mid day it seemed the pains hit her so hard she just cried and stayed in bed. Even everyone at her bed side trying their best to make up her cheer up, she did not give in.
What a hard stone thing she seemed was all her brother thought before he left the room.

Well the even somehow managed to come and now with everyone taking their normal position sitting in ring form around the fire, Cara felt it will be cool to cheer up the moment,

"We can at least sing , fora starter, its all too silent and bor....."
She didn't get to finish as they all turned their heads to see stunt walking over.
The look on everyone's face could tell they were all surprised.
Stunt was always under cover. Never joins in anything not even to spare a bit of time with them for coffee.
His work seemed to be the only thing he did and other than that, no one knew really were he was or what he did.

One thing everyone knew for sure was that he and Daco were not good at it. Their looks were never good and its best never to have the two together, not even sitting far apart, but now it seemed the two will have no choice but pretend as it is clear he was joining the evenings hangout .

Only hannna seemed to be really cool with stunt expect for his big man jimmy.
Well timmy just thought of him as OK and for the rest, they didn't have much words to offer as description for stunt.

"Today seems all quite, why?" Stunt asked as he walked over to sit next to jimmy and Cara
"Maybe you should guess" mark said making a face.

"Hanna?"

"Can we just talk of something fun" Daco said looking at everyone expect stunt of course . two big rivals they are.

"Well maybe stunt here has something for us"jimmy cut in giving Daco a cold look.
He really needs to give this boy a talk. Stunts advice are always good and he can't have his son going team hate on his handy man.
Handy man yh that's what he called stunt. Well stunt was more like his adviser. He helped him make a couple of good decisions that really helped.
Stunt was the one who told him a home away vacation was the best way he could have his family together and with himself before he was judge and got busy again. And here he was with them having all the fun.
So if Daco will fight stunt always then, this vacation and certainly the evening were not the best. They could pretend here and lash it all out when they got home.

"Not legal advice today" mark added looking at stunt.
"Everyone has a moment off work" stunt smiled
"Thats your first smile since we came here" mark opened his eyes in surprise

"Where you looking forward to it?" Timmy asked looking amused

" maybe....you know mark here has a thing for......"
"Don't even dare say that " mark said cutting off Daco and throwing sand on him
"But is the truth....OK wait let's ask stunt " daco scoffed again trying to stand and change his sitting position

"Oh you wait till I tell everyone about........"
"How much" Daco asked quickly returning to sit next mark

Buying Daco off with money was what mark always did but now with everyone looking all interested in what his cousin was about to say about him, he doubted he could bribe him .

"Hmmmmm... Why don't you keep your silly lies" Dina spoke for the first time, she had sat here all along but never even said anything as everyone tried to cheer up but now she knew the boys were just trying to say things that will have everyones attention and make stunt feel left out and she wasn't going to let that.
"Thank you much much" Daco shouted turning to look at mark and givin him the shut up you loser face

"He can keep his silly lies" Daco said again patting mark on the head

"So stunt should i say I am or we are glad you finally came out for some fun" Dina smiled over looking at stunt who just smiled and nodded .
He never really says much she thought. Well not only her face carried that expression but it seemed jimmy was not as he is sure enough used to him.

"if this is how he is then I wonder why jimmy keeps on carrying him everywhere he goes" Cara whispered to Dina
"Trust me I think of it often " was all Dina said before she stood up excusing herself.

"Tell her we miss her here" mark shouted after Dina who made a tumbs up and walked into the house.

The atmosphere seemed to be getting a bit light and cheered as conversations now started poping up. Even stunt had a lot to talk about and he and Daco kept the pretence cool.
Stunt mad a joke and everyone laughed so hard jimmy even layed his head back on the sand from laugh ache .

Stunt was such a funny and nice person but he could never never understand why he never really hung out with the family a lot. Maybe he was scared of Timmy .

Timmy had the stern face all the time. Its so difficult for one who is not close to him to think he was a nice fellow. Well here they were all all sitted together sharing jokings and laughing their asses out.

"Stunt I think am liking you" Daco said holding his rib from too much laughter
"Ahh you should" Timmy said with several nods
He nods a lot
"I think I like you too" stunt said winking and grinning to everyone's surprise

"Keep it down you two , hope its normal like...,.,"
"Hahah,,,,haha ahhhh " mark laughed out waving at jimmy for his silly joke
With them like this...everyone forgot about a sick Hanna

The vacation consisted of nine people in total. And only two were not family but they could as well fit as family.
Stunt was more like an uncle to the children and more than just an adviser to jimmy and with him being all cheerful like this he looked so good to be a hughes .
If he was here today and its him that is always away then it means jackill will join the squad soon enough .

Jackill the chef, master Chef of all. The one person the Hughes never traveled with out . not like the women can't cook but his is just too much. His cooking can lift your mood.

"Jackill should be here too " Timmy said looking at everyone for approval
"He needs a break from making too much cookies" jimmy added as everyone's eyes fell on Daco
"Hang on why are all eyes on .......you all eat the cookies too "
" no one said a word about you" staunt defenedthem supressing a smile making the ladies to chuckle

As much as he tried to defend himself about the cookies , the more it seemed they knew of how he always cripped down to steal a box of jackills homemade cookies so he just hung his low and soon joined in the laughter as the teasing moved to Cara on how she always nick sandwiches but clam is for the white dove on her window.

"Oh honey your exposing me.....not like you didn't eat it with me the last time?
Cara looked at her husband raising an eyebrow in amusement jimm just throw his face and acted like he didn't know who she was talking to and they started laughing again

Its more like after the long laughs everyone tried to keep calm to let in some more oxygen. But it came just as stunt was about to speak up .

The scream .

It came so loud and sharp causing all their boold to freeze.
