LAST VACATION

chapter 10

5:00Pm.
It was time.

Jimmy walked hand in hand with cara, both having smiles on their faces. It was tone to welcome their guest.
The dinner was nothing too big but yet important.

As much as they wanted it to just be a family dinner, jimmy could not accept it. Saying thanks by mouth and words was not enough, he had to invite them.
Inivite his friends,better still, his colleagues and a few important people.
people he had single handedly taken part in his election and soon he would be t appointed a judge.
What else could he do to say a thank you?
He had intended for it to be just family, even though they saw it as a simple family dinner, he felt it was the best way he could invite friends and not raise alarm to the public as he didn't want it going over the news that he was hosting some sort of celebration before time, before his appointment.
Only a few will see that he was just having a happy time over his final victory.

He set the time just the way he had planes things to go, his visitors will arrive at 5:00pm and they will drink and have causal chats, just some time together for at most an hour, have dinner at 6:00pm and there after they could start leaving, and he his family could have their own time alone, maybe change into simple clothes, move to the garden and have barbecue, play some games and dance to a few songs.
That sounded great and well planed to him.

Things didn't turn out the way jimmy had planned at all, the boys went on to pick their dates while Hanna had hers come over,they all seemed happy and everything was going just well, even stunt had brought someone.

The dinner had come and gone, only two out of the nine invited friends had left, only because they had important things to attend to, the rest had insisted on staying with the family till late.
Not what jimmy wanted but it seemed the others didn't mind.
Mark, Daco and Hanna had seen their dates off and gone on to change and look simple, ready to hit the garden. Seen them that way, cara and Dina went on to change too, it looked like they didn't mind at all.

He and Timmy had taken suit after a couple of drinks with his friends.
It seemed funny being that his friends had expected a fun moment after the dinner and had taken off their suites and rolled up their sleeves while Timmy and jimmy had gone on to change. They too were ready yo mumble jumble with everyone.

it was going to be wired having them around to witness what they did in their spare time, but since the folks didn't care, jimmy better not butter himself.

The garden looked good, just as always , now having seven people join the family, it seemed such a big gathering, they'd brought out the big table and set the barbecue, for Timmy since he was a pro at it.

The ping pong table was also rolled out into the garden for anyone who cared to play.

The games seemed so good, while Timmy was head on with the barbecue, two of jimmys friends playing the ping pong, the others just sat around playing games, the ladies sat back and watch the men have some drinking contest which Daco won.

Ofcours, like a family thing, they played guess who.

This time the game had no prize to be given but the loser will do whatever his ordered, and Daco suffered it. Orders for him to run around, give out his food, his drink, serve everyone. The list went on.

"I can't do this anyone" he called out after yet another order from Hanna.

"Well you can quit the game" she replied

"Oh let him, it's good having someone to do the run around.....as you know... am very lazy" Ryan chipped in grinning. Jimmys friends looked more happy than even the family members, no of them was ready to miss out of anything.

"Ok wait" Daco said after awhile,
everyone looked up at him in expectation

"Why don't we do it this way.......I describe someone, if you all lose then each of you will pay for all the orders you gave me" he finished smiling

"Am in, cause I know you'll lose, and if you lose then you pay us"
Mark said

"No let him do double of everything we will order him to do I have a lot I need to do" cara cut in looking excited

"Ok" everyone nodded.

The game went on again and again Daco lost.

Everyone laughed so hard and soon they all started calling out their orders.

"Wait" Daco shouted again
"What" stunt snapped. He looked too happy, he was liking it all, he couldn't wait to call out his own order to Daco

"How about I try again?" Daco asked looking at their faces.

"No problem"they all answered, clearly, they knew he will lose.

The game went on yet around, no one had been able to guess who Daco described. It seemed funny, he kept smiling and shaking his head as they called out each having wrong guesses.

"Wrong....all of you are wrong" he finally said staring at them.

"Then tell us....sure you formed this person" jimmy said looking suspicious just as everyone.

"Nope I didn't....I only just described Timmy" he said looking over at Timmy bent over the barbecue.

All heads turned and immediately, they saw it, he had described someone right under their nose but no one knew.

"Wow" was all Hanna said and Daco winked at her. Moving in now, he sat on the floor cross folding his legs just like the rest and stretching out his hand.

"So....drop my cash y'all"
Everyone stared at him. But yeah they had to pay.
"Am happy you got smart.....lets see who you will describe next time if not Curtis stone" mark said as he placed the money in Dacos palm.

"Maybe my you" he replied grinning

The evening carried on nicely, they played more games and even stood around to watch a quick game as jimmy and one his friende played ping pong.they all laughed as jimmy got trashed and would not accept difite

They sat and had snacks and drank some more.

The house seemed unusually empty after jimmy's left but though the feeling eased up as the sat out in the garden for some late night chat.

Daco had the duc station out and they all layed in the garden looking at the stars......

"Hanna?"
Jimmy called softly....

Hanna lay with the boys and stunt. She lifted her head slowly to look at jimmy
"Yeah?"

"Am proud of you baby" was all he said then lay back.

For a moment it seemed like the music playing from the duc had stopped. They all smiled. Hanna knew exactly what her uncle was proud of and couldn't help but smile. She had tried, it hadn't being so long but she had tried to cheer up and force everything behind her.

No one else needed to state it again, but she sure knew she had them happy.
It felt good to know they cared so much for her well-being, if only she too cared that much, no one will have to worry of her being alright. Atleast not in this manner.

The music played softly as everyone savoured the moment.
Clearly, it was another good happy moment to remember.

"I think it's time we go to bed" Timmy said making to stand and pulling a half asleep Dina in his arms.
Jimmy did same to cara who had long gone since the second music from the duc rolled in.

They all stood now, heading in as stunt held an over feed Daco from stumbling over.

He was so getting food positioned.
