Chapter Six

Cyro stared nervously into his coffee cup, as Vance talked on his cellphone across from him, clearly he was sill working. Vance's whole appearance was just bored he didn't look like anything the voice on the other side of the phone was saying was even slightly interesting and all his responses sounded practiced. Cyro wondered if he should just leave.

"I'm sorry, they can't do anything at the office without me." Vance sighed dropping his head into his hands rubbing at his face. Cyro didn't know what to say as he watched Vance like this, he'd never seen him so tired looking. It bothered him, reaching his hands out he grasped Vance's wrist carefully pulling his hands from his face. Vance looked up at him after a few moments giving him a sad smile before shifting their hands to hold Cyro's hands in his own.

"Why do you stay if it makes you so miserable?"

"It didn't always make me feel like this, things change as you get older Cyro." Vance smirked releasing their hands leaning back in his chair. He was suddenly no longer human again Cyro realized, he'd had a moment of weakness and clearly not one he wanted to share.

"I may be young but at least I"m not unhappy." Cyro snipped setting his hands in his lap as he felt them begin to tremble. "And I'm twenty one I'm not some stupid child!"

"Who the fuck do you think you're yelling at?"

"You! Some stranger I don't even know but fucked like four times!" Cyro stood, quickly shoving his chair back he could feel his eyes tearing up. "Vance I don't even fucking know you, you're just some depressed spoiled brat trapped in a grown mans body! Here's some advice get a fucking therapist and leave me alone!"

Cyro huffed fighting back tears as he rushed from the coffee shop more than aware of Vance following close behind him. They walked in silence for a good while neither one caring to break the awkward silence. They passed several people who gave them odd stares but it wasn't til Cyro plopped down onto a park bench did Cyro really notice how many people were staring. An old lady snickered from a bench across the park path throwing some bird some feed her eyes scanning between Cyro and Vance, it made Cyro suddenly uncomfortable.

"Cyro, she's just smiling at the birds." Vance sighed sitting down next to Cyro locking an arm around his shoulder's to keep him from running again.

"Whatever Vance I'm sick of you." Cyro growled as Vance's free hand came up to to cup his cheek moving Cyro's face to meet his own. Their lips met eagerly, tongue's clashing as Vance moved to take control, as Cyro refused to let him. Cyro circled his arm's around Vance's neck pulling him close desperately, even as he hated himself just a little for being so needy.

"I fucking need you." Vance groaned pulling away from the kiss. "Not just for sex, Cyro, I just need you."

"Don't say things like that, I don't even know your last name."

"I don't see why it's relevant, honestly." Vance sighed pressing his lips back to Cyro's gently in a quick kiss. "And I told you the other day now that I think about it."

"You did no-" Cyro huffed as Vance held up a hand signaling for him to shush while he answered his phone. Vance shook his head mumbling into his phone as he pulled back from Cyro, standing up from the bench.

"Yeah, shut up, I'm coming in." He growled turned looking back towards the coffee shop angrily shoving his phone into his pocket before raking a hand through his hair. Cyro smiled standing from the bench cupping Vance's face in his hands pulling him down into a gentle kiss.

"Hey, you go take care of what you need to." Cyro assured him patiently stroking his thumb over Vance's cheek. "I'll wait for you at your place?"

"Please."

"Okay." Cyro smiled dropping his hands to grasp Vance's urging him back towards the coffee shop. Vance smiled back interlacing their hands allowing Cyro to awkwardly lead them back to the coffee shop where his car was parked. They ignored the odd stare hardly noticing them as they talked and laughed on there way back to the cafe.

They rode back to Vance's place in a comfortable silence except for the music that flooded through the stereo as Cyro continued to fiddle with the stations unable to pick one he liked. Vance didn't mind he didn't really touch the radio much, and he liked the look on Cyro's face while he flipped through all the channels before hitting the back button and going through them again and again.

"You have your key?" Cyro nodded answering Vance's question before quickly pressing their lips together clearly expecting a quick kiss. However, Vance had other plans sliding his hand into Cyro's fluffy blonde hair he pulled him closer deepening their kiss his tongue invading his mouth suddenly. Cyro moaned his hands moving over Vance's chest suddenly wishing he didn't have to go in to work, he could feel Vance's steady heart beat under his palm as they finally pulled away from each other. "We'll definitely finish this later."

Cyro nodded at Vance smiling at his words, they both fully believed that they'd see each other soon, neither of them would have guessed that they wouldn't.
