Chapter Fourteen
"Are you happy now?" Vance asked rolling his eyes as Cyro shifted slightly, they had been laying on the bed in silence for about an hour and Vance's back was killing him. He had wanted to turn over and sleep on his side but Cyro had passed out on his chest and he couldn't bring himself to move him.
"So happy." Cyro smiled kissing Vance's chest before scooting off of Vance so that Vance could turn onto his side. "Sorry about your back."
"It's fine, I'll just say I was fucking bull whipped." Vance growled grasping his elbow to push his hand over his shoulder and down his back, attempting to touch the damage.
"I doubt it's that bad." Cyro sat up laughing slightly as he motioned for Vance to roll onto his stomach so he could check. He smiled at the red marks down Vance's back tracing the path of them lightly with his finger's. "It's just a little red, no blood, you're fine."
"Do you still want to meet my daughter?" Neither of them was sure where the question had come from, Cyro sat back on his heels not sure how to answer him. Vance waited a moment before turning onto his back to look up at Cyro, he was obviously in deep thought over the question. Honestly Vance wasn't sure where their relationship stood right now, they had just had a huge argument and then very passionate sex so he really didn't know.
"I would love to." Cyro finally replied, he nodded nervously as he looked off to the side. He thought back to what his Gran had said but he wasn't sure were they stood right now either, he didn't even know where he stood with the relationship right now. He wasn't sure if he was happy or not but he knew what he had to do. "Would you like to meet my family?"
Vance quirked an eyebrow at Cyro almost waiting for him to follow that sentence with a sarcastic remark or go on about how mad he was but he didn't.
"It's just that I don't have class tomorrow, and my Gran wants to meet you anyways so I figured since you were finally going to introduce me to your family I could at least do the same, I could invite Mom and Gran out for lunch and we could all kind of get to know each other I suppose but you don't have to come or meet them if you don't want to I wouldn't blame you if you didn't they're all kinda weird actually, my Grans kind of promiscuous and my moms a totally bible thumper I don't understand it at all my grandfather never even leaves his and Gran's house so-"
"Shut up you rambling freak." Vance groaned snaking his arm around Cyro pulling him down to lay against his chest. "Of course I'll meet your family."

"Gran this is Vance." Cyro smiled awkwardly introducing Vance to his grandmother as they sat down across from her and his mother. They had arrived at the restaurant before Cyro and Vance and had thankfully secured a booth in the busy restaurant while waiting for them. Looking at his Gran Cyro began to regret this decision as she wiggled her eyebrow at Vance as he accepted her outstretched hand. This to which of course Vance laughed before placing a quick kiss on her hand and Cyro could feel his face turning red as his Grandmother looked at Vance with a blatantly seductive gaze.
"Oh he's a keeper, please, call me Georgina."
"Shouldn't he just call you Gran?" Cyro murmured squeezing Vance's arm, signaling for him to drop his Gran's hand.
"After you two are married of course, 'if their ain't no ring then it ain't a thing', is what I like to say." Cyro groaned squeezing Vance's arm tighter becoming a complete other kind of uncomfortable as his Gran continued to flirt with Vance. He quickly seemed to notice though as he finally dropped Georgina's hand to place his arm over Cyro's shoulder's pressing him into his side.
"I don't think Cy is quite ready for me to propose but maybe one day."
"What's the wait?" Cyro's mom asked finally seeing her chance to jump into the conversation. She had been sitting silently as her mother flirted shamelessly, and while it may have only lasted two minutes it made her far to uncomfortable. "Cyro never seems to come home any more you two seem to be everything but married."
"I think I'm just to young Mom." Cyro cringed at the thought, his mother was right and that was one of the reasons he wanted to stop this crazy train. "Vance has his whole life sorted right now, it's really been an awareness to me that I'd like to be like that before I settle down."
"Well I'm just glade for you both, Vance you seem like a good person so far, I kow I was kind of sheltering when you were younger but it was always because I worried you would mesh with the wrong people I can see now that you did a great job picking people on your own." His mom smiled at Vance, her face warm with genuine happiness and approval. "You can call me Bethany or Mom if you'd like Vance."
"That's very kind of you." Vance replied before smiling at Cyro who seemed to be tensing more and more by the second. He wasn't sure what Cyro's relationship with his mother was but he could tell her approval meant something important to him. Vance tried his hardest not to read into Cyro's nervousness as having to do with him, yet he couldn't shake the thought that maybe he was nervous at the fact she'd approved of someone he didn't plan on staying with
