Chapter Eight

Cyro laid on Vance's couch looking up at the ceiling, the television played in the background but he wasn't interested anymore. He couldn't take his mind off yesterdays events, how could he explain them to his mother. There was no way he could keep this from her, Vance was already insisting getting the police involved despite Cyros pleading. He hadn't been sure what to do after yesterday, but in the end Cyro decided that staying at Vance's place was much easier than going home.

"Vance!" He called out, his mind suddenly wondering where he had gone. He hadn't said anything about leaving but obviously he could care less about tell Cyro things, especially things that may be considered important. "Vance?"

"What?" Finally he replied but now Cyro had nothing to say. He wasn't sure if he'd had a plan before he called for Vance, he certainly didn't have a plan now. Vance came into view suddenly leaning over the back of the couch looking down at Cyro, arching his eyebrow carefully."Why are you calling me?"

"Where were you?"

"The study."

"Why?"

"Studying?" Vance shrugged, laughing when Cyro frowned at his response. "It's my apartment, I can go where I want you know."

"Get me the remote?" Cyro asked rolling his eyes slightly as he shifted back to face the T.V. Stretching his hand lazily towards the coffee table where the remote was just slightly out of reach.

"Is that what you called me out here for?" Vance snorted, but he walked around the couch and snatched up the remote anyways. Cyro looked at him for a moment taking in his overly casual attire, he was sure he'd never seen Vance wear jeans before although he definitely looked good in them. "You're fucking spoiled."

"Buy me a kitten?" Cyro smirked holding his hand out for the remote but Vance shook his head, instead he turned back to the television powering it off. He set the remote back down farther out of Cyro's reach this time before turning back to him. Cyro crossed his arms, looking back up at the ceiling as Vance lifted his legs to sit on the couch, Cyro waited a moment watching Vance til he seemed comfortable before crossing his legs in Vance's lap.

"Let's talk about yesterday."

"No thanks, I just want to forget it." Cyro flushed bringing his hands up to cover his face rubbing his face to try to reduce the rising blush. His heart was steadily climbing up his throat at the thought of the topic, he didn't want to talk about yesterday he didn't want to talk about anything, but definitely not about Vance's daughter, or the assault, it was all just way more than he'd bargained for.

"Cy, you were raped, we should talk about it."

"I wasn't raped!" Cyro hissed moving to sit up but Vance's hand was firmly planted on his knee clearly with no intent of budging or letting him move, they were going to talk about this if he wanted to or not. "If I talk about this will you tell me about your daughter?'

"Yes."

"Fine."

"What do you remember?" Vance asked in a relieved sigh, his hand rubbing up and down Cyro's leg.

"A woman behind me, a video of you choosing the life of your daughters over her mother's, being tased, and being dumped on the sidewalk."

"So you don't remember when it was inserted?" Vance asked carefully, Cyro fidgeted slightly opening his mouth to reply but he simply just shook his head no. "That's good, it was probably wasn't aggressive then."

"You seem relieved." Cyro noted looking up at the ceiling once again. "So, your daughter?"

"Her name is Maxine Ashtor, she's currently nine years old and about to graduate the third grade."

"Is that your last name?"

"It is"

"I'm tired Vance." Cyro stated finally pulling away from Vance, slightly shocked when he let him go so easily. He stood moving toward the bedroom not sure how he felt about Vance's sudden forth coming of information. He wanted to hate him, but at the same time he didn't plus he'd been so calm yesterday when everything happened. Then again as much as Cyro could tell he always seemed calm, but he was sure that was a mask.

Cyro slipped into the bedroom not surprised when Vance followed him in a few moments later. His arms circling around his waist pulling Cyro into his chest, Vance kissed his neck gently leaning into him from behind. Cyro stood there letting Vance lean on him wondering if he'd let Vance take this farther today. He wasn't sure he could handle sex, especially not after being violated just the day before.

"Vance, I said I was tired."

"Okay, let's sleep then." Vance mumbled against Cyro's neck moving them over to the bed lying down on it. Cyro laughed slightly shaking his head as Vance laid back , Cyro laying on his chest. He closed his eyes as Cyro stared down at him and Cyro could see how tired he must have actually been. "I didn't mean what I said yesterday Cyro."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah, I love you more than anyone." Vance sighed running his fingers through Cyro's hair pulling his head down to lay gently against his chest. Cyro's mind raced, his heart beat harder than he thought possible, his breaths coming out in shuddering pants. He opened his mouth, contemplating what to say before he he simply just said the first thing that came to mind.

"Oh."
