"The real one isn't among them." I state sitting in front of Sakura and Shiho.
"Maybe it's a genjutsu casted by the female akatsuki that was with them at the time. And she's the one who physically attacked Lord Jiraiya-
"No, I think that's a long shot. According to Lord fukasaku stated he was stabbed by all six pains. Well he took out three of them, but they resurrected. Does sound like it could be some genjutsu illusion." says Sakura.
"With the Akatsuki, anything is possible we've even dealt with immortals before.." I say thinking of those two in my mind plus I briefly think about Kai.
It's been 3 months since I last heard of Kai. Each passing day waiting to hear any news about her. Guess this is how Naruto felt for three years straight.
Currently I'm on a mission to decipher Master Jiraiya last dying message. We've got the message across with the help of Naruto but what does it mean.. we're trying to figure this out before Pain's next move.
Holding the photo of master jiraiya last message , shiho adjusts her glasses "for now all we can do is keep hypothesis till we get report from the others."
"You're right." I say.
Shiho is from the cryptoanaysis team. Who've I've been working with to figure this out. Cheerful level headed girl, who highly intelligent. And every time I'm around her cheeks are flushed. I don't know what that's about..
"Anyway let's get closer to solving pain's mystery, until Naruto gets back.."
That's another thing, Naruto on a side quest to learning sage art. Also an excuse to get him away from the village for a little. With the news of almost all the jinchuraki almost being captured Naruto along with Killer Bee are one of the last two individuals alive. And pain attacking now wouldn't be a surprise.

3rd pov
Deep in the forest in the land of fire. Sits the last temple...
Kai stands out the building with a lit cigarette on her lips. Arriving at the final temple at dusk she can't help but notice an enormous amount of chakra coming from temple.
"This one isn't like the rest.. if I remember one of the founding members are at this temple. Along with other leaders I've encountered in the past who were eagerly waiting for my turn at immortality.. well they're sure going to be surprised.." putting out the cigarette tilting her head side to side she prepares for what awaits her.
Entering hundreds of candles burn, Kai holds her head high.
"The heretic has returned."
"Looks like word got out then? Wasn't expecting someone to relay a message.. must have missed someone.." Kai glares into the darkness soon someone unveils themselves.
"Not here to pray.. high priest " Kai says.
An elder soon closes in showing himself in the light "no.. you're here to become tonight's sacrifice."
Dozen of cultists rush her at once.
"Gates of Hell.. first gate of flame.." purple aura emerges from her body and begins to get extend her body out ready for the attack.
Instead of struggling she's almost untouchable.
One swings an axe across her face, she slips underneath.. sweeping underneath she goes for a power house kick breaking his ribs.
Another one comes behind and drives an elbow into his jaw before he even lands.
Three more men throw chained scythe at her she turns around begins to do a couple of hands signs "water wall jutsu!!"
