Kai pov

It's been almost 2 weeks since I was last here in the same exact spot where this goofball is at. His been out cold for 3 days , his going to freak when he finds out tomorrow are the finals for the chunin exams. As for Choji that idiot is next door in bed for all that hard training. As for me and Shikamaru we decided to pay a visit to Naruto while playing Shoji.

"Told you Choji eating barbeque everyday will get him in the hospital. Asuma's technique of training well and getting a sweet meal didn't work out to well" I sigh heavily biting my nails.

"I got tired of it the first four times.. Made me sick seeing Choji eating that meat.." he shivers.

"You think the dork will wake up soon?" I say moving my knight forward towards Shikamaru's king.

He glances at Naruto chuckling "I say soon.." he places his pawn in front of my knight.

"Great answer" I say sarcastically while I glance over to the hourglass going half way.

I smile back at Naruto "my guess is by the end of today.."

"Your move" he says.

I firmly nod "r-right" I glance at the hourglass and the sand inside seemed to have stop. I widen my eyes.

"What?" he says soon he looks at the hourglass to sigh "damn it's clogged up. What a drag.." he picks it up shaking it firmly.

Soon I begin to hear a slight body movement. I glance back quickly to see "Naruto!" I see him rubbing his eyes.

"So your finally awake! I was correct on the time he'll wake up by the way!" he says scratching the back of his head.

"Whatever.. " i turn over to Naruto and say "anyway dude you've been out cold for 3 days straight" I say smirking at him mischievously knowing his exact next reaction.

"Oh three days.." he says with such a raspy voice.

"OH MY GOD REALLY! THREE DAYS!" he says immediately standing up on the bed.

"Uh yeah more or less" Shikamaru says shocked to see him up so quick.

"When are the finals!?" he says panicking looking around.

"Tommorow" I say happily.

"What!! Shikamaru why didn't you wake me up any sooner!?" he tugs Shikamaru on his shirt.

Soon he pulls him a little closer "do I have time? Oh man I can't sit here lying down! Oh and where's pervy sage that old fool should be here supervising my training!" he says shouting in his face.

"Calm down kid! Get a grip on yourself!! I don't know what your talking about.. Kai" he says glaring at me for me to come in between them.

I shrug my shoulders smirking then soon Naruto hurries over to the bed and check under "where's my clothes? My gear! Argh!!-"

"Would you knock it off!!" I swing my leg to the back of his head pushing him forward to the bed.

I walk over to him with my hand pulling on his shirt "listen!"

I push him onto the bed placing my hand onto my waist. I glance over to Shikamaru he sighs "thanks.."

"Look resting might be the best thing before a big competition like this" he stats in such a serious tone.
