I still can't believe I had the fortune of meeting Souji Yuusuke and how his benign personality has granted me access to other people as well. With these "other people" now as my friends I decided to get to know them a little better and get familiar with them. The first one I got to know was Tsukasa. He's the most physically active, and therefore, the most dominant in terms of physical strength and I'm not too surprised. Being in Kendo, boxing, swimming, and Judo, as well as being captain or co-captain he can take charge of any situation. Oddly enough, he was introduced to the group by Moa who was taking the same Judo classes as him at the time. Contrary to what Yuusuke had said before about him being the "tough guy of the group" he's actually a gentle soul. He's aloof at times but that doesn't mean he doesn't care about his friends or risk his own well-being to protect them. The only time he becomes a tough guy is when the situation calls for him to be one. He's a reluctant fighter, only to fight when he really needs to, which is what I like him the most for. He lives in Niigata with his parents and two siblings: one older sister and one younger brother. Because of his parents hectic schedules he has to hurry home to help his older sister take care of their younger sibling so she can go to work as well. That explains why he's always rushing us hurry up so he won't miss his train. I guess it's also safe to say that Tsukasa is the most responsible out of the group. Although his family life might seem non-existent because everyone's working all the time, they make up for it on weekends and holidays where they go out to barbecues, restaurants, or other family-oriented activities to keep their family as tight-knit as they can.
Naomi and Ayumi were the next two people I got to know and their stories are sort of intertwined with each other which is why I decided to talk about them together. Naomi was brought to the group by Yuuske because she had similar qualities as him in terms of being an open and caring soul. Naomi has a slender build and is a few centimeters taller than Moa. She has a somewhat bubbly yet serious personality that's very welcoming and exudes a feeling of comfort. Both girls hail from Yamanashi. Naomi befriended Ayumi during their middle school years when the latter had a tough time being bullied for not being "pure" Japanese, whatever that means, and I can only assume that she didn't take those insults too well. You see, Ayumi is half Japanese from her father's side and half Swedish from her mother's side. She has a similar build to Naomi's but her hips are a little bit wider and she has an oval-shaped face. Her eyes are the most compelling as they are a mix between brown and blue-green being a different hue from most people's. There's nothing wrong with being multi-racial in my opinion because, in a way, it can rid stereotypes and ignorance from the world when people know more about other world cultures, thus, creating a deeper understanding amongst ourselves. If I do say so myself, people who are multi-racial are more beautiful--or handsome if you're a guy--and are more interesting than the norm because they have a broader world than most. Naomi came to Ayumi's rescue when she didn't have anyone else to turn to and they've been the best of friends since, in addition to having Yuusuke and Moa for support as well.
Speaking of couples I had the privilege of getting to know Morgan and Samantha and how they got together. Both of them come from military backgrounds. Morgan's parents were stationed at Camp Fuji while Samantha's are stationed at Naval Air Facility Atsugi with Morgan's family the first to be stationed in Japan while Samantha's came six months later. They both came from the States coincidentally enough where Morgan's family is from a place called Houston and Samantha's family is from San Diego. Morgan is the tallest in the group being a hundred eighty-three centimeters tall, second being Tsukasa at a hundred seventy-seven centimeters. He has a warm, light-brown complexion and a chiseled jawline. Samantha on the other hand is about a hundred seventy-two centimeters with an athletic body, long blackish-brown hair and lightly tanned skin. She has high cheek bones and an overall, well-proportioned face. When they first met they weren't too keen of each other never believing they were more than friends. Samantha met Moa when she was lost and needed directions to get back home from Shibuya and Morgan met Yuusuke at an anime/manga store in Akihabara. Morgan did confess, however, that when he and Yuusuke were just getting to know each other he was pretty annoying because he kept asking him if he could touch his hair. Samantha also suffered a similar event with Moa as Moa would make sly attempts to touch Samantha and brush her hand against her arms and legs. Heh, I guess that's something to bond over but i digress. As mentioned before they didn't have any feelings towards each other but over time as they hung out more and more frequently they began to catch feelings for each other and eventually Morgan asked her to be his girlfriend. Depending on who you ask, Moa and Yuusuke give themselves credit for playing Cupid while Morgan and Samantha believed it's "something that just happened".
Natsumi is someone that I feel I can relate to the most. She's very quiet usually keeping to herself and her work. She was introduced to the group the same way I was but instead of being a new transfer student, she wasn't the talkative type which made it difficult for her as well as others to befriend her--except for Moa. Yuusuke met her when he needed some extra tutoring with math and asked her for her assistance. Natsumi is very down to earth, loving, and considerate of others...that is, if you're close enough to her. Similar to Tsukasa she's aloof and gives off a cold first impression only opening herself to those she's comfortable with. She's also quite the humorous one with her witty, sarcastic, deadpan delivery of jokes. Natsumi lives in Yokohama with her parents, grandparents, and three younger siblings: one older brother, one older sister, and a younger sister. Even though she considers herself more of an intellectual than a outdoorsy person, she's actually quite active and physically fit. If I had to compare her athleticism to anyone in the world wither real or fake, I'd compare her to Mikasa Ackerman from Attack on Titan. Yes, she's that good. She's such a delight to have discovered and I was blown away by this side of her as well because she doesn't necessarily look the part, you know?
Last but not least: Masahiro. Yuusuke wasn't joking when he said Masahiro was a food enthusiast! From miso udon soup to German bratwurst, Masahiro does not discriminate; all food under the umbrella of, well, food, is accepted by him. Only Moa is on the same level of gluttony as him and that's saying something! Funny enough, that's exactly how he met Moa and the rest of the group: through food at a local festival. He's the "bigger" one in the group but not as much as you may think. He has a similar body like that of Shindong from Super Junior but with a rounder face and dimples as deep as Moa's. Being born and raised in Tokyo and having both parents in the food industry it doesn't take a scientist to see where his love for food comes from. With Indian food as his preference he has opened my mind, and taste-buds, to a world of many places and Indian cuisine such as tandoori chicken, khoya paneer--and its variations--, biryani, momos, pani puri, baigan bharta and countless more! Hehe, I'm not sure if my heart can withstand these mind-boggling flavor bombs! Whenever we would all go out to have some food, there's no doubt that Masahiro will take us to the best spots in Japan.
I feel bad for not talking about Moa and relaying my experiences with her with you but...I'm not sure if I can. It's not that I don't like her...it's just that I don't want to suffer a regression. It's been a while since I've regressed and I would like to keep it that way. The pain is incredibly unbearable. But how can I not talk about her? Heck, how can anyone not talk about her? My first experience with her wasn't the most formal of introductions. I was with my mother at the new school I was going to attend and we just needed to do some final confirmations-for-transfer papers. I was looking around the empty hallways and classrooms to familiarize myself with the layout of the school when I suddenly felt something bumped into me. At first I thought I must have bumped into a pillar but it felt too gentle to be one and then a voice apologized from behind. When I turned around...my goodness! She was beautiful with the way the light hit her face that sparkled her eyes and the side of her face illuminated from the setting sun's rays--and she wasn't even wearing any make-up! She had straight black and brown hair down to her shoulders; her bangs covering her forehead like a shield. And that face...that face she made expressing her sincerity for running into me was something else. I wanted to keep myself composed instead of melting into a puddle of infatuation and played it off as not being a big deal. When my mother called for me, I didn't want to leave but at the same time also very thankful she did because I could've ended up being known as the weird guy who just stares endlessly into people's eyes. I didn't expect to see her from that point on but the heavens must have peered into my consciousness and gifted me her presence for our last year of high school. As much as I would love to be around her more, for my personal reasons, I'm afraid I can't let myself do that. I just can't. So with that, I'll end it here before I regress and have bigger problems to worry about.
