It's been a little over a month and a half now since Culture Day and winter is slowly creeping its way into Japan. The school semester has come to a close for winter break as well. Many of the group members have been using this time as a means to bundle up and bond with their families. Masahiro and his family have taken a family trip to Hawaii to enjoy its amazing, tropical weather and Hawaiian-Polynesian mixed cuisines. Morgan and Samantha have gone with their respective families back to the States to visit relatives and friends. Yuusuke was unfortunately sucker-punched by the flu and has been bedridden for a few days now. Moa's family made plans to take a road trip to northern Japan to visit their relatives but Moa was hesitant to go because of how harsh the winter conditions can get in that region. Moa pleaded and pleaded with her parents to let her stay behind. With the trip only lasting for a week, they reluctantly allowed her to stay behind under the condition that she is absolutely forbidden to have visitors over while they were out of town. She waved them a goodbye as they pulled out of the driveway and drove off. "Yes! Finally I can have time for myself." Moa exclaimed euphorically as she reached for her phone from her pocket.
Tendou was at home finishing up on some school assignments when he was interrupted by the buzzing of his phone. It was a call from Moa. Confused as to why she would call him anyways, he picked up his phone and answered.
"Hello?"
"Hello, is this Tendou?"
"Uh...yes? You don't normally call me,if at all. Do you need something?"
"Ah, yeah I do. Sorry if this is out of the blue but um...can you......come over? I really need to talk to you about something. It's about the winter assignments."
"Oh, uh...don't you think Natsumi is a little more adept for that than me? I'm pretty sure she completed everything before the break even started."
"Look....can you just come over? Please?"
"Yeah.....yeah, I will. Just let me get some things and I'll be there."
"Okay. Bye!"
"Bye."
After the call ended, he grabbed his things, placed them in his school bag, wore layers of clothing to combat the cold weather and left for Moa's house. When he reached Moa's residence, he could barely feel any sensation on his face other than the blistering cold wind gnawing away at his skin. He walked up to the porch and rang the doorbell waiting for what felt like an eternity in a frozen Hell. When the door opened, he could feel the warm air from inside the house caress his forehead and cheeks. In the doorway stood Moa. From the top half of her body, she was wearing a white and blue striped thermal sweater under a dark blue cardigan. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail with her bangs parted to the right side of her forehead. In her bottom half, she wore layered, black leggings and her feet were covered by knee-high lime-green and hot-pink striped socks inside some snug indoor slippers. "Ah good, you made it! Come in, I made some hot chocolate while waiting for you." Tendou entered her home, took his shoes off at the front of the house and hung his thick winter jacket on a coat racket next to the shoe rack. He set his school bag next to him on the sofa in her living room and began to take sips of the hot chocolate to warm his body.
"So....when do you want to get started on the assignments?" asked Tendou. Moa refrained from giving an immediate answer and continued to take small sips of her hot cocoa.
"Uh--yeah....about that...." Moa placed her mug down on the coffee table.
"I just used that to give you a legitimate reason to come over. I needed you to come over not for school stuff....but for something else. Something more.....important." She sat closer to Tendou.
