Chapter Six

Jack rushed through the cornfield.

He dropped his walkie talkie when he first started to run.

They found him.

The chinese soldiers.

"得到他! (Get him!)" They shouted. Jack didn't have a fucking clue what they were saying but he sure as hell didn't want to stop to find out.

Jack heard their screaming become more faint and distant. He relaxed a little. That was... Until he slipped.

Jack fell first on the ground, he tried to get up, but his foot was snagged in a twig. Jack cursed and hid in the corn stock, trying to be a silent as he could.

"他到哪里去了?! (Where is he!?)"

"找到他! (Find him!)"

Jack held his breath. He knew that he was in trouble, that was if he got back alive. He put his whole entire squad in danger because he panicked. Jack scolded himself in his mind.

'I have to tell them!' He thought. Jack didn't hear the chinese soldiers anymore. He grinned and started to crawl away.

Triggar.

A gun was aimed at his head.

"Where... Are... Your friends?" The chinese commander asked. Jack was in shock, this was it... He was gonna die. Jack kept his mouth shut and closed his eyes.

"主席先生, 他没有响应. (Sir, He's not responding)" One soldier said.

"我知道. 但我们需要他活着来获取信息 (I know. But we need him alive to get information.)" The commander replied .

Jack gulped.

"主席先生, 我们的狙击手发现其余附近露营地. (Sir, our sniper spotted the rest near the campsite.)" The walkie talkie said. The commander grabbed his walkie talkie.

"复制. (Copy that.)" He replied. He started to walk back, and glanced at Jack. Jack made the mistake of looking at him in the eyes.

The chinese commander looked at the soldier aiming at Jack.

"杀了他. (Kill him.)" He commanded. Two soldiers took jack by the arms and dragged him away. Jack screamed "no" over and over trying to break free. The chinese commander watched the two soldiers take him to and open sandy beach. The commander turned and walked away, lighting a cigarette in the process as two bullets resonated through the air.

Taila looked around with her rifle and saw a glint of silver hidden in a bush. She gasped and was about to pull the trigger but the person beat her to it. A bullet through Taila's head and she was dead.

Josh looked around and saw that there was a blind spot between to men that he could ambush. Josh turned to walk back to Levi and Margy when he stepped on a twig. God he hoped they didn't hear.

Unfortunately. They did.

A soldier turned around.

"他在那边! (There he is!)" A soldier shouted. Josh ran for his life, making the sniper's bullet skim his arm. Josh cursed.

Levi cursed.

"Come on!" He shouted as they climbed up the hill and started to shoot the soldiers. They were somewhere where the Sniper couldn't reach them, or so they thought. All the soldiers were dead except for the sniper who was hidden away somewhere. Levi panted. He saw a jeep in the distance, he peered through the crops they were at and saw the jeep park at the top of the hill. The door opened and out came the Chinese commander. He stood tall and looked straight at Levi.

"Come on." Levi said, as he grabbed Margy's hand and ran through the crops, away from the bullets being shot at them. They went into a forest where they saw a body. The chinese soldiers were still chasing them. Margy instantly recognized him.

"Josh!" She screamed. She went towards him and kneeled beside him. She touched his wounds.

6 bullets holes in his chest.

Josh's eyes were dull and there was blood dripping through his mouth, even so he gave Margy a grin. He touched her cheek.

"Win this for us..." He whispered, he coughed up blood before his arm descended from her cheek on the ground, limp. Margy's eyes watered.

"Josh..." She muttered.

"他们在那! (There they are!)" One shouted. Levi grabbed Margy's hand.

"Come on!" He said. "Let's go! he's gone." Levi said as they ran through the forest. Levi took a sharp turn and hid in ditch with Margy. He looked beside her and saw Margy's eyes wide and full of shock. Levi pulled her to his chest and cradled her as they waited for the chinese soldiers to go by, hopefully not noticing them.
