Thursday, today was the day.
The day of the invasion.
Levi got his guns ready, he put on his camouflage suit. And was prepared to head into battle. He exited his room and ran into Hanji.
Hanji quickly put it behind her back.
"What is that?" Levi asked. Hanji looked behind her.
"What is what?" She replied, nervously. Levi glared.
"The thing you're hiding behind your back." Levi hissed. Hanji shook her head.
"Oh... It's nothing." Hanji said. Levi extended his arm.
"Give it to me." He said, Hanji shook her head.
"Hanji." Levi growled.
"Levi, this isn't the appropriate time to show you thi-" Hanji was cut off by Erwin.
"What are you two doing? Let's go!" He said.
Hanji was caught off guard, giving Levi a chance to snatch what was in her hands. Levi looked at the envelope. It had his name on it.
"Levi! Don't!" Hanji pleaded
"This is for me." Levi said. Hanji nodded slowly.
"Why would you keep it from me?" He asked. Hanji looked down, in sorrow. Levi raised an eyebrow at her and took the letter. He read it.
Levi's widened, he stared at the letter rereading its contexts. Hanji looked to the side.
"I didn't want to tell you because we were heading into battle... It's just... Inappropriate, besides, you needed to be on your best-"
"I'm fine." Levi said. His hair covering his eyes. Hanji looked at him with wide eyes.
"I'm fine..." Levi muttered, more to himself than Hanji ,and walked past her.
The entire trip, Levi's gaze was cast down. Hanji stared at him with pity. She was heartbroken too.
Margy had grown on her... And now... Hanji looked up and sighed.
'Its harder on Levi... Considering his past... and That he loved Margy, so much.' Hanji thought. She looked at Erwin. Erwin caught her gaze and raised an eyebrow. Hanji looked down, and Erwin caught the message, he looked down in sorrow.
Hanji looked at Levi again, and noticed that his fist was clenched tightly. He still had that dull look in his eyes as he always did. The only difference was that his eyes were cloudy.
They landed and the troops set out going to fulfil the mission. Levi also started to march in, he waited for the signal.
There was an explosion, that was the signal.
Levi charged in and started to shoot.
He was faster stronger and angrier. He shot every chinese soldier he saw, soon enough there was a pile of bodies in front of him. He went inside and did the same thing, killing anything within his reach. Hanji watched him, her eyes full of hurt.
'Levi....' She thought. She could tell he was in a blind rage, because he was sad. It was gone...
His reason to live...
Gone.
Hanji gulped down a sob, and started to shoot as well. A man stabbed Hanji, she let out a pained cry. Levi heard it, and instantly killed the man, shooting him over and over.
Gone.
