25. Stoking the coals

I make my way to Remi. I need to speak with her about all of this, more importantly to see if she needs a healer. Deep down I just want to see her face and make sure she is ok for myself watching her walk away after the fight, I didn't want to draw unwanted attention to her by carrying her to my house like I really wanted to. The thought of her body leaning on me on the training field, her scent on my clothes. Fuck why do my thoughts always wonder back to her like this. She is beautiful and never leaves my thoughts as much as I try to distract myself.

I have tried other women, to smother Remi from my mind. No matter what the fuck I do I have a thirst that can't be quenched. This infatuation is digging into my being like a disease.

Abraxis bringing me back to reality "you can imagine fucking her later. Right now she is hurt and you let her leave to save her pride"

Shit. I should have never allowed her to leave. I should have checked her over more instead of getting caught up in the feel of her.
She didn't seem seriously injured, but I did smell and see a thick trail of blood on the field and on my pant leg.

Knowing the little I know about Remi and her family, she didn't seek treatment. If my guess is correct. She went to hide away from prying eyes.

Walking towards me is an exhausted looking Beta Jacob and the pups holding each of his hands.

"Beta Jacob, it's pleasant to see the children and you enjoying the land. Do you have any special plans?"

Little Nora is the first to speak "Hello Alpha Silas! We are going to pick flowers for mommy! She doesn't feel good and needs time to rest."

Aleric looks at me "I was just told my mom needs time to rest. I think she needs help. I want to go back, she's all by herself!"

I look at the angry child "I think getting some air is great and she will love some flowers. If you go to the back of the estate there is a garden, feel free to take as much as you want. I am going to see your mother now. She won't be alone "

Jacob looks at me with confusion.

" I swear she will be safe. I'm just checking on her. I think I have earned some trust by now"

The beta leans in close to my ear. " Remi mind linked me and said to get the kids out before she got there. I can't defy her or I would be there"

Realizing how bad it is "keep the kids out. I'll have my staff make a picnic and bring some things out to entertain them. I'm going to help."

He relaxes a little" come on kids, we have a long walk ahead." Continuing on Nora waves enthusiastically goodbye.

I make the rest of the trip fast. Sending the kids away tells me it's worse than she showed. There's blood on the walkway trailing up the steps and smeared on the door. I hear cussing and heavy breathing inside. I don't knock. random dirt and blood smudged on the walls.

" I can smell you Alpha. I am fine." Her voice full of pain echoes from the bathroom.

Pushing the door open, I see her sitting on the floor with medical supplies across the floor in her bra and underwear. Blood in thick pools all over the floor and sink. She is sickly pale from blood loss. Wolf claws are extremely sharp and can do massive damage.

Abraxis is pacing. Feeling the need to care for her, I can't stand to see her struggling to mend herself. Shoving my feelings down. I don't need to make this personal.

She looks up at me with tired eyes. The wound I wiped earlier is starting to close "The bleeding has stopped, you can go now" pointing to a ternaquit made from her shirt it looks like
"I can take care of my fucking self. You can go"
