26. Jealousy burns everyone

Sitting up in my bed my muscles ache fiercely, determined to get out of this bed today and put clothes on. Slipping out of the large bed I find a black tank top and blue stretchy shorts. My leg is very bruised any pressure causes pain. Keep it light and simple.

Examining the room that I never slept in before it is clean and smells like home. Alpha Silas scent is faint from a week ago, it is still here giving me comfort. He shouldn't bring me any kind of peace, I don't want any male attention.

The walk to the bathroom is slow and agonizing. I will never take walking for granted again for as long as I live, I feel useless. I take my time in the bathroom. Brush my teeth, wash my face and brush my hair. The mark on my face is closed but is still a deep red. I don't look much better than Jake. Two broken wolves. The longer I spent in this room I can smell alpha Silas here too. He smells delicious, I can't stop the thoughts of my dreams. I feel him on my skin and hands in my hair.

Ember takes a sniff and purrs"we could have a taste of we really wanted to or I should say if you wanted to. I definitely do"

"Goddess Ember we are broken right now!" Wiggling my toes still hurt a little.

"We are hurting not broken, besides some good loving can be healing"

The last thing I need is a horny wolf trying to drag me to get laid. We have bigger problems today.

Jake looks sickly and isn't eating properly. I need to talk to alpha Silas about Angel. A meeting is the only way to take care of this mess. I understand jealousy comes with being a mate I have seen it, out of control jealousy burns everyone involved. The situation has to come to an end and mutual understanding is necessary.

Now that I look presentable, well as presentable as possible I decide to go speak to the alpha king about setting something up. one she wolf probably to a time.

I open the front door, like he knew I was thinking about him. Alpha Silas was at my door. My cheeks immediately heat up as if he could see my dirty thoughts about him. My eyes explore his whole body shamelessly. He is a large man, his dark features capture my attention. His eyes burn bright yellow seeing right through me.

"Like what you see?" He called me out for staring at him like an crazy woman practically drooling.

"I'll leave you to wonder" a smirk painted on my face not realizing I was biting my lip.

Fidgeting for a moment and stumbling my words. I quickly changing the subject "I was coming to find you. We discussed the issues with katanya and Angel, I would like to set up a meeting here. Angel, Jacob and whoever you think is necessary. Also can someone watch the pups?" I say quickly as if asking permission.

His eyebrows furrowed together "are you sure? You want to handle this situation when you're still healing and in pain?"

Slightly frustrated at his answer" Yes. I can handle this. If you want to be present feel free, but this is happening regardless of the opinions of others" it came out harsher than I intended.

His composure is impressive ", I will set up a meeting for a couple from now, I will attend"

I nod and turn around to exit the conversation

" If you were anyone else that shit wouldn't get you far with me, consider yourself fortunate " alpha Silas leaves without looking back.

Shutting the door and moving to the couch. I think I need to start trying to be kinder and less pushy when I speak to him. I'm not looking for another near death experience or any trouble.

I'm pulled from my thoughts when Jacob walks in the door exhaustion under his eyes. Plops on the couch looking defeated
