~Your P.O.V~

I never realized how quiet the left side hallway was until I began walking down it with nothing but the soft thuds of my bare feet hitting the carpeted floors to dully ring out into the silence. It's weird walking like this because I can tell just how nervous I really am about confronting the blonde I've chosen to love, but my heart no longer beats and so I no longer feel that weird thumping in my throat like I used to. Really, I never thought I'd miss the feeling of my own heart thudding harshly in my throat every time I was nervous or scared, but I really do miss something so simple.

Being a vampire is just plain out weird...

I was so focused on how I couldn't feel a heart beat or the fact that blood no longer flows through my veins that I hadn't even realized that I was already standing in front of double glass doors that led out to a seemingly empty balcony. Though looking closer, I could vaguely see a pair of feet lying on the floor which most likely means that the person I'm looking for is asleep... Again... Honestly, I'd expect nothing less from him.

The doors didn't creak as I lightly pushed them open and then shut them behind me once more. Though my feet did seem to lightly tap against the concrete ever so slightly as they pitter patted on the cold floor beneath them.

"So, you're finally awake?" Shu's sleepy voice called out to me as I rounded the small corner only to find him lying on his back with only one of his ocean blue eyes open as he stares up towards me.

"Hm, yeah, but I could say the opposite for you." I laughed back while I sat down on my knees and let Shu move his head onto my lap just as we've always done.

"I'm awake..." He mumbled to me. "But I just like keeping my eyes closed."

I couldn't help but to laugh a bit as he obviously had to fight back his fatigue. "Sure you are..." Was all I responded with as I watched him then push up off of me and stand up. "C'mon, you're being slow, stand up."

"Geez I just sat down too..." I pretended to pout as I pushed myself up to stand in front of him. Before I could truly register what was happening, Shu suddenly reached up and grabbed the tea cup pendant Reiji had gotten me for my birthday and then proceeded to yank so hard on it that the chain broke from around my neck. And then the necklace went flying over the balcony's railing, only to be lost in the small garden down below.

Shu reached into one of his pockets and pulled out a pendant necklace of his own. But instead of a tea cup, his pendant was of a small violin that had mini colored diamonds all through out it, making it seem as if it glows all on it's own. The moon light from the half moon high up above also contributed to the glowing factor while I just stared at the violin necklace in awe.

"I don't want you wearing that annoying tea cup thing anymore so wear this instead." Shu mumbled as he moved closer to me and placed the chain around my neck. His blonde hair slightly fell into his face and I couldn't help but to stare into his barely showing ocean blue eyes as he focused on securing the chain correctly.

I wasn't even thinking anymore as I slowly leaned in and pressed my lips against Shu's. He didn't even know what was happening for a few moment, but he eventually returned the kiss. We must have stood their kissing for a good five minutes before either of us even considered pulling away for air. Though neither of us spoke after that.
