It had been about a month since I had been in the car wreak, and today was Halloween.

            AND ALSO MY FIFTEENTH BIRTHDAY.

Yes, I was born on Halloween, which I might add is pretty damn epic.

I was sleeping peacefully, but I woke up to the buzzing of my alarm clock and it was playing “Uprising” by Muse remix. My eyes opened dreadfully, because I really didn’t feel like going to school.

There was a knock at my door, and I just groaned not realizing what day it was. Then, I heard the door click open, but I still lay in bed. “Aksana,” Juliet and Andy said at the same time.

            “Hmmm,” I moaned.

Juliet walked across the room and tapped me on the arm gently, “Wake up, birthday girl,” she cooed. Slowly I opened my eyes, and kneeling in front of me was Juliet. “Hi there, sweet heart,” She said while pushing a strand of my black hair out of my face.

I sat up in bed and I heard my back pop many times; my hair was a mess and very wavy/curly. “Come on chickita, you’ve got to get up,” Andy said kindly while walking over to my bed, and he crouched down. Suddenly as I was rubbing my eyes I was attacked by hugs from Juliet and Andy, and I was being squeezed to death by them.

“Ow,” I mumbled, but they kept of squeezing me to death.

“Happy birthday,” Juliet said as she let go of me, and she kissed me on the forehead.

Andy gave me a kiss on the forehead and he helped me out of bed, “Happy birthday, sweetie!” He said happily. We walked out to the kitchen and dining room, Andy’s hands were over my eyes, and he sat me down in a seat at the table. He lifted his hands from my eyes and I saw a large stack of waffles in front of me, and they had M&M’s in them—trust me they are delicious.

“Happy birthday to you, happy birthday too you, happy birthday to Aksana, happy birthday to you,” Andy and Juliet sang to me, I blew out the candles and they clapped loudly.

I quickly ate my delicious waffles and gave Juliet and Andy a great, big hug, and I left the kitchen/dining room area to go back to my room.

The cool air circulated through my room and it chilled me because I was only wearing a black tank-top and shorts. I flipped the switch to my fan off and shut the door, my closet doors were shut, so I opened them up and looked at what I could wear.

Suddenly, I heard my IPhone buzz, and I sprinted to it like it was a puppy, and I saw that I had a text from Hadley. I opened the text, and it read:

H: Happy birthday girly! And P.S. today is costume day; the best costume wins!

A: Thanks chickita and THANK YOU for reminding me it was costume day.

I set down my phone on my dresser, and looked in my closet. Nothing really caught my eyes, until I found this really old red and black sweater and some black, ripped skinny jeans.

If you hadn’t guessed by now, I was dressing up as Freddy Kruger, and all I needed was a hat.

I took the clothes out from my closet and walked to my bathroom; I turned on the light switch and got dressed. It was a bit cool in here, but hey, it beats the blazing heat of the summer!
