Tonight was the first football game with our rival school, the Monneray Tigers, and the entire school was going absolutely crazy. I’ve never been a fan of football, nor have I ever liked to go to the games, but since Drew was playing I felt obligated to attend and support him.

I sat in my bedroom applying my makeup when the door creaked open, and Juliet poked her head in. “Hey, Wild Child, we’re leaving in a few minutes if you want to ride with us,” Juliet said, and I replied with a thumbs up.

Quickly, I applied the rest of my mascara, and I slipped on my black vans so I could ride with Andy and Juliet. I walked out of my bedroom and down the hall; at the end of my section of the hall was a large staircase, and it led into the living room.

All four of us were in our car driving to the game; Louis and I were in the back seat, and as we sat in traffic he was playing with his Tigger stuffed animal. I, however, was busy snapchatting with Drew.

Quickly, I took a picture of myself and Louis captioned it: I brought a little friend to see you

A minute later, Drew sent me a picture of him shirtless and he had the most excited look on his face, and he captioned it: Really!

In response, I sent him a video of Louis saying hi, and captioned it: Yes really

Only ten minutes later we pulled up into the football stadium’s parking lot, and it was completely packed to the brim. “There are a lot of people here,” Andy stated.

I replied, “It’s because we’re facing our rival, and everyone wants to see us win.” Once Andy turned the car off I opened the door, and I stepped out onto the blazing blacktop—even at seven thirty in the evening it was still hot as balls outside.

Juliet held Louis as we bought our tickets, and my phone buzzed in my pocket very loudly. I pulled it out and I had one notification from Drew, so I opened his Snapchat and he sent a picture of himself making a kissing face with the caption: Got to go. I love you <3

Quickly, I sent a picture with the caption: Good luck darling, I love you too

Juliet handed me the pale blue ticket, but I quickly shoved it in my back pocket. We all walked into the stadium, and it seemed like every single seat was taken. But, as we walked among the screaming teenagers, we found a pair of familiar faces: Drew’s parents.

They motioned for us to sit with them, so we happily obliged. The bleachers were hot, but the sun was setting so the bleachers would be cooled in no time.

The game had finally reached halfway of the second quarter, and I was beyond bored. Drew hadn’t been out on the field yet, and I was starting to get anxious if the Tigers had done something to him so he couldn’t play. He stood in the front of the long line of the red and gold jerseys, and his number was 18.

One of the players was tackled, and pretty much the entire team of players ran off the field. Drew and nine other players ran out onto the field; he was in the middle of the front, and he had his butt raised in the air as they waited for the center to hike the ball.

The ref blew his whistle that I couldn’t hear, and the ball went flying back to the quarter back. Drew sprinted to the massive player he was guarding, but the player sprinted right back at him. This guy was huge; he was almost as tall as Drew—who is around 6’4 ½”—was at least two-hundred pounds of pure muscle, and Drew was a total twig that had barely enough muscle to be on the team.
