Songs: Raging Fire by Phillip Phillips and Just A Dream by Nelly
This Chapter might be a little confusing but I tried :( Also I have decided to try and write a little differently for this chapter to see how it goes.
Over the Span of 1 week- Dreams
Night 3
Instead of being in my point of view, I was watching the scene unfold from the corner of the room. There was a little girl about 4 years old that was sitting on a twin sized bed. She was listening to loud music blaring from a music player. She was dancing and singing loudly to the music with no care in the world. Her straight brown hair swinging carelessly in the air or being grabbed by her hands that were being jerked by her mind to the music. She was smiling at the song and just having the time of her life. She never opened her eyes when she was singing to the up beat music. All her notes were perfect and it was weird since she was so young and inexperienced.I looked around the room while unknowingly lip syncing to the music softly. I caught a mirror that was hanging on the door. I could actually see myself and like Minho said, I had brown straight hair that stopped below my breasts and dark brown eyes that almost looked black. I was skinny but not so much that I looked unfed. I was decently tall maybe about 5'7" with olive toned skin. I turned my head back to the little girl but recoiled with shock without moving my feet. I didn't know until then that the little girl in front of me, was me. Her face was softer than mine and she was very small. Could this be a memory like the earlier one from a week or two ago?
I was interrupted by the movement of the door next to me. My younger self still hadn't seen the intruder but was happily listening to the music playing. An older women looked through the crack of the door and smiled lovingly and in amusement at the girl yet she didn't tell her she was there watching her. It wasn't long before my small self blushed at the attention caught by her peripheral vision of the lady and ran over to the player and stopped the pretty women's voice.
She stuttered in a high pitched voice, "U-uh, h-hi Mom. How long have you b-been standing there?" I gasped at the question. That was my mother. It must have been because she had the same eyes and hair except she was shorter than me by 2 inches. I must have gotten my height from my dad. Wait, where is my dad?
My very alive mother smiled kindly and giggled, "Hey, Bear. I have been here for a minute but in that minute I realized that my daughter has an amazing voice that matches her beautiful features."
She blushed even more but brightened up at the proposal. "Um, thank you. I love to sing and I feel like the music just makes me want to dance. It makes me happy. I think your voice is prettier, though." The child frowns and cocks her head, "What makes you happy, Mom?"
For a second, my mother's eyes flashed with pain and regret but covered it up with a smile and then barked a sweet laugh. "You are my angel from Heaven and if I didn't have you Id go crazy." For a second I heard her hesitate at the word crazy. "Id do anything for you and I'm sure Dad will too even if he doesn't express it very well." My mother walked over to her daughter's bed and hugged my younger self. She had a hollow look in her eyes that made me feel sad. I wanted to rush over, hug her myself, and tell her 'its going to be Ok' but I couldn't move my legs.
"Hey, I know we are going through a very rough time but know that I will always be with you no matter what. Ok?"
The child nodded after letting go of her embrace but soon the smile changed to a little of confusion at the sudden affection. The young girl watched as her mother walked silently toward her bedroom door with her shoulders slumped.
The women stopped and turned around with a sudden happy smile that didn't quite reach her dull brown eyes. "Promise me, that you will fight for what is right, protect who you care about at all costs, and go through with your dreams?"
