Breakfast and a disagreement (12)

We get to the restaurant hand in hand. The team looks up at us and smiles. I sit beside Emily and Hotch in front of me. Rossi is the one to ask "So are you two official." Hotch looks at him again "Do you not read your text? I take sex very seriously. So yes we are. I'm bringing her on a date tomorrow evening." Everyone's looks at me and I blush. JJ laughs "Reid and I heard you last night walking by your hotel room. We know you had some fun. That and the hickey on your and Hotchs neck give it away." I cover my neck and Hotch smirks, Morgan laughs and Reid smiles. "I hate you all." Prentiss smiles "Nah you love us." I smile at her and we order breakfast.

"So Lily... Where are you from?" Reid ask me. I look at him and smile "Canada." Everyone stops eating "Canada?" Hotch says. I sigh "Yes.... Is that a issue Aaron." I use his first name so he knows I'm serious "No, just interesting." Morgan smiles "Hotch got yourself a French Canadian women. Never thought I'd be jealous of my boss." Everyone laughs. Then the tension was building I sighed

"Okay who's gonna ask?" Prentiss takes a deep breath "Samuel?" I look at everyone at the table and look around "He's my ex..." Rossi interrupts "He also broke out of prison." I flinch and take a deep breath "I help put him there..." I say in a really sadden voice. I feel in love with Samuel... It was hard getting him put away. Everyone looks at me looking for farther explanation "Guys... Can we do this on the jet... Where's there's less ears." Everyone nods and goes back to their meal, except Aaron he is staring at me I stare at him back I know what he says back can't be good;

"Lily follow me please." Everyone looks at Hotch as he gets up and leaves to go outside. I groan in frustration and the team is all looking at me, I slowly get up and follow him. He has his arms crossed and he looks like Hotch not Aaron "Hotch..." I try and say something but he holds his hand up "No, you're avoiding this subject and you know it's fine. I understand, but what I don't understand is why you lied." He glares at me "What do you mean?" He looks at me in the eyes "Li-Anne, I'm a damn profiler. He was more then just a boyfriend... He knew too much about you. Those 4 years..." I flinch has he uses Li-Anne but I'm also angry because he's pushing me "Hotch, I feel in love with him okay. Is that what you wanted to hear eh Aaron! I WAS IN LOVE WITH A DAMN KILLER THAT I HELP BUT BEHIND BARS!!!" My blood boiling an my accent is coming out I take a deep breath to cry and calm myself but I'm to angry "I SAID I WAS GOING TO TELL YOU WHEN I WAS READY! BUT NOOOO YOU NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT ME! REALITY CHECK WEVE ONLY KNOWN EACH OTHER FOR 4 DAYS!!!" I turn and start leaving. "Where are you going?" He ask me grabbing my wrist. I pull my wrist back hard and I turn around noticing the team coming outside, they are all watching, I stand toe to toe with our boss "Agent Hotchner, you will never not allow me to leave again. If I want to leave it is to cool my temper. And clear my head. I will be driving to the airport with Morgan. I'll see you on the jet sir." He doesn't stop me this time. I walk towards the SUV tears down my face. I hit my head against the SUV, then I feel a hand on my shoulder I turn to face JJ. She wipes my tears "He's not use to someone standing up to him like that. He's actually still in a state of shock. And angry with himself. Lily whatever he said. I'm sure he just wanted to protect you." I look at JJ "He found out Samuel was more then a cover. There are something I'm not ready I talk about and I told him that... That was one of those things." She nods understanding "We all have our secrets. But we're a family we try and trust each other. Whatever you tell us on the jet will stay between the team. And if you leave out some stuff be it. I'm sure Aaron will calm down." I nod "Thanks JJ." Morgan finally gets to the car with my bag "Alright hop in Lils." He smiles and I hop in follow by JJ and Emily. Reid is in the front. My phone buzzes

Rossi: I'm giving him hell. He should of not pressured you like that. It wasn't right.
I smile
Lily: Don't give him to much. I think he learnt.
Rossi: I'm sure he did. Good on you for standing up to him. Never thought I'd see the day where Aaron would stand in shock.
Lily: Thank you.
Rossi: Talk to him okay? He really does care. He's just worried that these secrets will eat you up. And they will one day. I'm not saying tell us everything. But we deserve to know about Sam.
Lily: I know. I just needed to cool down. Thanks Rossi
Rossi: Anytime kiddo. We love you.
I roll my eyes at him avoiding saying "I love you." Too me
Lily: For the record Rossi. I love you too.
Rossi: 😊

Emily and JJ were looking at me, I laugh and read the first text from Rossi. "He would." Reid says. Everyone nods. I smile, Emily puts her hand on my leg "So you and Hotch gonna be okay?" I turn to her "I hope so. I just needed to cool off." She nods "He's protective. And since he likes you a lot. It's in overdrive. I haven't seen him smile like he has since Haley."

Everyone goes quiet. It was quiet for the rest of the drive. We get there first, I see the other SUV pull in and start to walk toward it. Hotch finally looks up and our eyes lock. He walks towards me, he pulls me into a hug "Im sorry..." He says in my hair "It's okay." I tell him back. We hear the girls awww. I laugh and kiss him on the cheek. And we all walk in the jet. Where I'm going to tell these strangers about most of what I've done in 4 years.
