Coffee and Reid (21)

I'm furious with Hotch. I can't believe he made me do that. I can't stop shaking. To the point where Reid put his hand on my leg "You're going to put a hole through the SUV floor." He smiles and I let a small laugh. "Coffee?" He ask. "Please... Do we have baileys here too?" He laughs "No sorry." I smile. We stop at Starbucks and he gets us coffees. I feel comfortable with Spencer. Mostly because we're close of age and were like siblings. Minus Emily and Hotch. I'm closest with Reid. I've calmed down a bit after the coffee. He lets out a sigh "Wanna talk about it?" I put my head down "Not here... At the hotel." He nods an keeps his eyes on the road "You make JJ wear a ring?" He smiles "Stops the officers and detectives from hitting on her. And stops me from becoming like Hotch." I smile "I don't hate him... I'm just mad." He nods "I know. You love him don't you." I let out a annoyed breath "Sadly." He lets out a laugh "There are some picks like telling your boss to pretty much go screw himself and not get fired." I laugh. "Getting field work because of jealousy." He laughs. "Getting to call him Aaron." I smile. We stop taking for a bit after that and he looks at me "Does he blink?" I look at him and laugh. Full laugh to the point where my side hurts... Then I notice he's serious.. Then I think of it. "Now that I think of it... I don't know. Kinda weird." We laugh. He says "If you see him blink text me."  I smile "Thanks Spencer. For treating me normally. For the coffee. For all of this." He lets out a sigh "JJ would kill me if I didn't. You have a soft spot on her heart. Also you're pretty cool." I smile "You are too!"

We get to the hotel and I know he's gonna want me to talk. We walk into my and Hotchs room. I sit on the bed. And Reid sits beside me he takes a deep breath "I'm gonna be honest but hear me out okay?" I look at him and nod

"No he should of not pressured you into admitting what happened. But I see his point... Lily now we know he's directly after you. We can keep you safe. Here or at the station. Hotch won't let you back in the field. But not only for your safety but for the team. Last thing we need is you getting hurt or killed. He is also your boyfriend so he felt a little betrayed you didn't trust him enough to tell him. Yes you've only known each other for a week. But anyone else would never know. This helps with he case. Now we know his motive. He's trying to get your attention. To anger you... Too turn you into a killer. Lily don't let him do that. You want to kill him, I get that but you can't because it will haunt you." I look at Reid and I take a deep breath "You're right and he's right. I... I'm just mad you know. I wish I could have one secret. One thing I don't have to share..." Reid smiles "We all do. But with our jobs we can't let secrets separate us. The reason we work so well is because we know each other in and out. And if we don't then we figure it out. We know there's more then this to your 4 years... But we won't push. But when we need information, you can't hold it." I let out a sigh of defeat and yawn

"I hate it when you act smarter then me." He laugh "Get some sleep. I'll message Hotch and let him know you're okay. I'm probably gonna be staying here or he will want to switch. If he does... Do you want him here?" I look at him and lay down "It's his room too." He looks at me "That's not what I meant." I roll my eyes "Yes. He can come by. We're gonna need to talk..." Reid rolls his eyes "Yeah talk. Remind me to wear my ear plugs." I throw a pillow at him. He laughs "Okay sorry. Now sleep." The last thing I see is Reid texting Hotch. I smile knowing I am surrounded by people I love.
