[[ "First Time" -Icona Pop ]]
"Dude can you stop? Like please. You're so annoying." Sam whines, getting super aggravated with Dean. Dean is continuously hitting his fingers on the metal part at the bottom of his bed making some sort of song over and over and over.
"Hey I thought it was pretty good." Dean argues. I just laugh under my breath as I continue to pack my bag.
"How are you feeling this morning?" Sam asks me, looking over at me while I shove my old clothes into my bag. I raise my brows and slowly nod, "I feel a little better. I'm fine I guess." Sam goes through his duffle bag and pulls out a bottle of pills. "Here's some ibuprofen. It should help with the pain." He throws the bottle over to me and I catch it in my hands. I walk into the bathroom and take two.
"Are you sure it's safe for her to be coming with us?" I hear Sam ask Dean. I'm pretty sure he's unaware that I can hear every word he's saying.
"Dude, she's all alone. Where else is she gonna go? She's got experience. It could be a lot of fun. Stop being such a fun sucker." Says Dean as he zips his duffle bag. "Okay, I'm gonna stop you right there. You've never been a fan of bringing ANYONE with us EVER. You always go on that big rant about how dangerous it is. Killing weird ass creatures and almost dying every day is not fun." Sam argues, standing with his hands in the air.
I walk out of the bathroom and pull my hair into a ponytail. "It's adventurous." I interrupt.
Sam and Dean both look at me. Sam wears a look of worry while Dean is just grinning.
"Exactly. Adventurous." Dean smirks as he picks up his bag. "You got everything Elena?" He asks. Sam just shakes his head, giving up. He walks out the door and to their car. "Yeah I think I'm ready. Except.....what about my car?" I ask. "Just leave it, you're riding with us now." Dean shrugs as he walks to the door and opens it, holding it open for me.
Leave my car? Is he serious? My jaw drops and I laugh. "Huh?" I ask as I stop in my tracks. I can't just leave my car here.
Dean looks around and chuckles, "New start Elena. That means drop your old life. For example, your old car." He signals for me to walk through the door.
I shake my head in disbelief. "You're crazy..." I laugh, deciding...what the hell? I guess I can start new, right? I walk past him and through the door to their car.
When I first see their car, I see it's an Impala. And it's gorgeous.
Sam opens the trunk for me to put my bag inside and once he opens it it's full of guns and crosses and holy water and everything you could possibly imagine you'd see out if a horror movie.
"What the...?" I say out loud as I look it over.
"Hunters, remember?" Sam says, chuckling. I shake my head and laugh as I put my bag down. Wow. What am I getting myself into?
Sam shuts the trunk and opens the back door for me to get in. Once I get in he shuts it, walking back over to the front passenger seat. "Aww Sam, always such a gentleman." Dean says sarcastically. Sam rolls his eyes as he gets into the car and shuts his door.
Dean turns up the radio a little. I sit back in my seat and relax. "So where to first?" I ask. Sam clears his throat, "Well, I was looking at the news online last night while I was on my laptop. I found this thing about an old house out in the country area of a little town called River Springs. It's in Oregon. Three bodies were discovered there yesterday with their throats cut and they were beaten pretty bad."
Dean starts to drive. "Okay, so what's sketchy about that? What makes you think it could be a case for us?" He asks Sam. "When they discovered the bodies, there was a huge mass of skin and body tissue laying next to them. Almost as if someone had just melted their skin off and left it there. What was even weirder is the skin and body tissue matched one of the victims, like there was two of the one person. What does that make you think of, Dean?" Sam questions, already knowing the answer.
Dean sighs and shakes his head, "Looks like we may have a shapeshifter on our hands." I narrow my brows in confusion. What the hell is a shapeshifter? I lean up closer to Sam and Dean and place my hands on the back of their seats. "A shapeshifter? What's a shapeshifter?" I ask, confused as hell. I'm being opened up to a much bigger world here.
"Shapeshifters are a race of supernatural creatures who can take the form of any human being. We've had some bad experience with these things. They're pretty nasty." Dean answers. I take a deep breath and sigh as I lean back. "That's...weird." I reply.
Low key, I'm actually pretty excited about this. I've never even heard of a shapeshifter before, except for when it had to do with werewolves.
"You hungry?" Dean asks, interrupting my thoughts. I'm not hungry at all. All of this drama and chaos made me loose my appetite. I just shake my head no. "Alright, well, we'll be on the road a while. Might as well take a nap or something. That's what I always do." Sam says. "Eh I'm not tired." I respond as I sit back into my seat again. "When we get close to Oregon we'll stop and eat." Dean says, beginning to drive faster to get onto the highway. I nod, leaning toward the window and looking out it thoughtfully. I watch the sunny, blue sky as we drive. The clouds paint the sky in weird ways. The grassland areas pass us as we quickly drive by. I begin to think again, missing my family and friends. Who would think I'd be here with these two random guys now? How did I even get here? I never dreamed of my life being the way it is now. I feel eyes on me, and I look over at the rear view mirror. Dean quickly looks back at the road as he sees my eyes meet his. He had been watching me. I secretly smile to myself. Hmm, interesting.
I look back up at the rear view mirror again and watch his face. His perfectly chiseled face. His head sways back and forth slightly as we drive over bumps. His eyes slowly make their way back up to look at mine. This time, he doesn't look away. He continues to stare at me.
I bite my lip and hold back a smile as my cheeks blush ever so slightly. I look away from him and back to looking out the window. I begin to feel a little tired.
I guess I was wrong about not being tired. If I really think about it, I hardly got any rest last night. Maybe I should take a nap? I decide to close my eyes and try to sleep. I lean my head against the window and curl up slightly to get comfortable, slowly drifting into a sleep....
