"Get out of bed!" Pulling my soft and cozy blanket off of me, cold air blows on my body, since I left my fan on overnight.
Jamie standing on the edge of the bed with her hand pressed on her hip, eyes wide. "Now!"
Grabbing my soft fluffy headrest of a pillow by the ends tugging it from under me so hard it made my whole-body shift over, causing me to fall out of bed, the bright light from the window shinned in my room, directly into my eyes, causing me to groan in pain, clamping my hands over my eyes. I press my head against the wooden flooring, mentally begging for 5 more minutes of sleep.
In a stack of mess, my notes lay across the floor, for this midterm exam which was today in Mr. Jarvis' class, which was Chemistry, Algebra, and English. I was so not ready.
"I slept in." I grumble, facing reality.
"Get dressed, quickly. We don't want to be late for exams today, and they want us in our seats on time!" She said moves over to pick up my books that were scattered all over the bed and floor. "50% of our grade! Let me remind you, 50%."
"I heard the memo for two months already." I groaned, flipping over, slowly picking myself up. "Why do Mondays exist?" I mutter.
Jamie counters with a sassy response, hand on her hip and all. "that's like saying, you don't want today to exist."
"Exactly," I squint my eyes at her, "Maybe calling in sick wouldn't be such a bad idea."
She throws my pillow at me. "Well, ouch."
"I know that did not hurt." She rolls her eyes and then hollers, "get dressed."
I wipe the drool that was probably dried on the side of my mouth, before, making my way to my closet, yawning, and stretching. Searching for clothes, I pull out a plain white t shirt, and my black hoodie, and finding a pair of dark blue jeans. Today I was feeling boots, so I pick up my black Harley Davidson boots, they were my favorite. I ran my hand through my hair, trying to get all the tangles out.
Jamie had gladly placed my notebooks here. I clasp my backpack over the nightstand. I threw my backpack over my shoulder and hustle out of my room.
As I pass her room, I holler, "See you later, mom."
"Have a good day, Sweetie!" She responds, she was getting ready for her day too, she works as a Nurse at the urgent care up the road.
I stride towards the living room, and before you walk out the door there is this mirror, and I couldn't help but look in it.
I stare at myself, and I couldn't help but to throw my long brown hair in a ponytail, before leaving.
I was just like that.
Jamie was waiting in her red Chrysler; I don't know how her parents did it but it was brand new. Her soft indie music playing softly.
"Time for school, and time for us to get our learn on," she cheered before driving off.
"Yay!" I say with effortless enthusiasm. "Let's get this show on the road." She smirks at my effort of trying.
I get in and buckle my seatbelt, before sitting my backpack in front of me.
I gape at the road; I was kind of just ready to get this day over with. I mean studying was fine, but I rather read books at home, and right now I was reading The Vampire Diaries. I've seen the shows but haven't got to read the books.
"So, where are you in the book?" My best friend asks, as she keeps her eyes focused on the road.
"Well, I just finished reading the part where Klaus gets his body back." I try and refresh my brain, i spent more time reading the book last night than studying.
"You stopped right there? What! I would have kept reading, I'm already near the end." She comments, proudly.
"Just don't spoil it for me," I say, I knew it was going to be hard for her not to spoil it because usually id ask what's going to happen next.
"So, random question but I was just talking to Bianca about boys, and she is like the queen of matchmaking." She laughs.
"And?" curious to what she was on about.
She glances over at me for a second and then looks back to the road with a huge smirk on her face, "I asked her who you would make a good couple with.".
"um what!?" I was getting kind of anxious now. I haven't really thought about getting myself a boyfriend until after i graduated high school, now though? no way..
"Harry Styles appears to be your match."
I start coughing for I choked on air. "Ha..." my words couldn't form before she asked me...
"Are you alright?" concerned was in her voice.
"Harry Styles?" Who was this Harry Styles you ask, well, he was every guy and girls wet dream.
Everyone would turn their heads to him every time he walked into the room, the teachers scorned at him, because he would always say something to irk them in any possible way. The cheeky smile was what had everyone literally swooning, when he speaks, hard candy melts. I didn't really find him appealing, his attitude towards school was completely nonsense. he was an all-around popular bad boy, who was loud mouthed and hands down rude.
The same Harry Styles who had chemistry with us last semester!" she exclaims, "and rumor has it he saw it, and is very single." she sings.
"Yeah." I mumble, thinking thoughts of us together made me cringe.
Never in my wildest dreams would I ever have predicted that. We never spoke to each other before. I was invisible to the guy, but he was completely opposite,
As traffic started to ease in, the steady cruise flow began to slow as everyone headed to the same destination. Buses were also joining the traffic.
Once the parking spaces were taken, you would have to parallel park along the side of the building and having to park between vehicles would be annoying.
The two-year driving expert Jamie just got her license last week.
"Dear Mondays, fuck you. Sincerely, Sarah." I grumble crossing my arms.
I loved and hated school equally, i feel like some of the lessons they teach in our boring classrooms, don't teach us anything. worksheet after worksheet, when we should really be hands on, learning about general health and how to survive.
"We are barely late, Jamie. We would still have time to eat Breakfast." I mentally roll my eyes and think about the time I could have took getting ready.
"Exactly! We can't be late." I kind of liked the cafeteria food on the right days. "Breakfast pizza."
"You're lucky I love breakfast." We hurried towards the cafeteria and had Breakfast. Once the bell rang, we picked up our trays and put them on the tray rack.
"I'll see you back here during lunch," Jamie waved me off as she goes into her class.
We wave goodbye to each other. Eventually, I reach my locker. It was more of a time waster since we had those lousy locker combinations. Finally, my locker neighbor came over to my locker, but she never seemed interested in talking to me. I think she hates me, really. Whom? It didn't matter to me whether I knew. Rumors are allowed to rumor, and gossip is allowed to gossip. I take out my books before closing the door.
Then something caught my eye. More like Someone. Beverly Heights 'bad boy', Harry Styles, with a cigarette between his lips. Black t shirt, dark washed jeans and a grey hoodie over his head. He was standing in the eye of the school and breaking the rules!
I watch him watch me before he exhales a huge white puff of smoke. I wanted to say wave or go and say hi, since our gazes met, but I didn't instead I hurried to class, anxiously looking away, minding my business.
