Sarah's POV

We make our way downstairs, I was relieved to know that I was wearing shoes because I could hear the sound of glass crackling beneath my shoes, I gasp and look down noticing a dark bottle of what appeared to be jack Daniels shattered across the floor. Looking around at the aftermath of the party was heartbreaking, the whole house was a wreck, and it was going to take forever to clean.

"Fucking imbeciles," I hear Harry groan.

"I-I could stay behind and help you clean all of this mess." I offer, but he shakes his head pulling a cigarette from out of his carton and lighting up as we make our way toward the dark wooden door.

As we made out way out of the house, the air hit my face, causing my hair to blow in every direction and to wrap my arms around my body and let out a soft burr.  Winter was approaching soon as we dived in September.

He unlocked his car door as he approached it he opened the door for me And I noticed that his cigarette was no longer lit.

I mumbled to him a thank you, still shy because this was the first time I was catching a ride with him. I still felt a little faded from the marijuana, but I also felt good along with that. He started the ignition and pulled off out of the driveway and into the freshly painted pavement toward my home.

"Where do you stay again." He asked me.

"1113 Decker Rd," I tell him as he keeps his hands on the streets.

I watched as he lit a cigarette, held it between his lips, and squinted at the road.

"You should probably stay away from me." He said, without looking at me.

"And why's that?"

"Because I'm the guy your parents warned you about when you were little."

"What? What guy?" I ask him, turning to face him.

He shakes his head and takes a puff from his cigarette, before responding.  "You know.."

"That's not their part to know though. Sure enough, they're my parents, but they don't have to know anything about tonight, I plan to sneak in. Are you a criminal or something?"

He smirks before ashing his cigarette out of his moving car, "probably.. mainly with Jeff possibly pressing charges."

"You have to stay out of trouble, you want to graduate right?" I frown as I watch him.

He raises one eyebrow, and replies, "I have to?"

"You know what I mean, so you can have a good life and college."

"I don't plan to go to college, once I graduate, I plan to move back to England, and be with my mom.. the way I see it, as much trouble I get in, once I go back home, it all won't matter."

"But-"

"I will be okay, Sarah, it's not like I'm going to murder someone." He rolls his eyes and flicks his finished cigarette out of the window.  "I just don't understand how Bianca would pair me up with someone like you, you never smoked pot before.."

"You and your friends say 'someone like me what do you guys mean by that anyway?"

"You seem like the kid who would bring an apple to a teacher, every day with a goofy smile." He chuckles.

"I- I gulp

"Do you see yourself with a guy like me, or with a guy like Jeff Harrington?" His question shocked me because I didn't know. Jeff was this clean baby face, achiever, with what I'm sure was a high GPA. Probably going to be crowned prom king for senior year. "It's a simple question.." he pushes me to answer.

"It's not.." I shake my head looking away from him and at the road.

"You'd look great with him. You'll be a beautiful homecoming and prom queen without a doubt." He compliments me. Causing me to blush a little.

We were about two minutes away from my house now, and there was a little silence between us after he asked that question. "Did you have a fine time? Sorry, there were no tacos Niall forgot to bring the ingredients."

"It was great, I had a great time," I tell him, honestly. Before the dean walked in, it was pretty alright. "Your friends are super funny, and friendly, thanks for making me feel welcomed."

"Of course," He turns into my driveway, turning off his lights, and I see that both of my parent's cars are home.  I gulp, hoping they were asleep for the night.

"So you're going to sneak in huh?" He looks over at me. I nod my head, keeping my eyes on the house hoping they weren't anywhere awake.

"Yeah through the back door." I nod, nervously.

"Do you need help, or-"

"No, no, I will be alright."

He pulls the liver into the park and turns to face me.

"Goodnight.." he says, his face looked kind of concerned. "What's wrong?"

"My dads are my biggest concern," I sigh, running my hand through my hair. "I did anything like this, knowing him he probably already called around town."

"I wish I could give you the word of advice, but I never got caught."

"I should be okay, I got this," I say stepping out of the car.

"I don't doubt that at all." He says, "good luck."
