Sarah's pov
On Monday, school was so quiet. Jamie was nowhere to be seen, and I couldn't find Harry either. Lunch was now here, and i sat at a circular table alone, and looked over my school notes. There was the ring of the intercom, and I look up to listen, because it startled me.
"Good morning, everyone," The deans voice was heard, and continued. "We are going to need everyone to report to a nearest classroom, quickly, this is not a drill, and if you're inside the cafeteria, to stay in the cafeteria till further notice, i repeat this is not a drill."
After the intercom went off, everyone was looking at each other with wide eyes, and you can hear whispers of people saying, 'this is not a drill.' I begin to panic and grab my phone that was on the table and begin to text Jamie.
To Jamie: Are you okay? There's a drill going on.
As soon as I hit send, Mr. Dawson walks in the room, and waves his hands and shouts, "Everyone is going to have to move far away from the doors, and windows, move toward the back!"
I gather all of my belongings, and listen, i speed fully walk towards the back of the room, as i had my notes and phone pressed against my chest, someone nudged my shoulder, i turn around to see it was Jeff Harrington, that's when i started to feel sick. "Where's your boyfriend?"
Ignoring him, I keep my eyes forward before pressing my back against the wall. He stands next to me, and says, "You know they could have busted him, right?" he whispers in my ear, it felt kind of gross.
"A dog!" You could then hear a dog barking loudly and running feet passed the door. "Someone's busted." Another one said as they all crowded the door. That is when my heart begins to race, Drugs? a gun? Harry is carrying around something dangerous, and i never knew, or Jeff was just lying.
My phone finally vibrated, and i quickly looked to see if Jamie texted me back, but it wasn't her, it was Harry.
From Harry: Where are you?
To Harry: I'm in the cafeteria. Where are you?
"You are texting your boyfriend?" Jeff looks over my shoulder, and into my phone. I feel a little uncomfortable with his invasion of privacy, but he seems to be genuinely interested in who I'm talking to. i felt something shiver down my spine, before i punched him in the nose with my phone. I gasp, and Jeff hollered loudly. I moved quickly deep in the crowd of people, before the teacher rushed his way over to Jeff. "What happened?" I looked back over that way and noticed blood splotches on the floor.
I could feel the vibration of my phone, and i open it up to see another text from Harry.
From Harry: I'm in my car, what's going on?
To Harry: We are in a lockdown, Jeff was next to me-
before i could hit send the teacher spotted me and told me to come speak to him. "Sarah, may I have a word with you?"
I closed my phone and meet him a little further away from everyone. I never interacted with Mr. Dawson, but he always seemed like a nice friendly guy. "What was that?" He looks at me, eyes wide.
"He has been picking with me, and I was fed up with him. He invaded my privacy." I defend myself.
"His nose doesn't look the best." he looks at me in disappointment.
"It was a reflex. He scared me." I defend myself again.
"You're just going to have to go to the principal's office after lockdown, okay?"
"You have got to be kidding me." i frown, I could feel my skin beginning to boil, before rolling my eyes, and crossing my arms over my chest, before sliding to the ground sitting my books next to me. I knew people were talking about me, but I believe Jeff could have learned boundaries, and minded his own business, but it's my fault, once again. I pick up my phone, and resume replying to harry. I had seen he sent me one new message asking me if I'm okay.
