They say you should forgive
Forgive those who hurt you
Take your pain
And throw it to the rain
They say you should forget
Forget how they hurt you
Bury that pain so far down
And dawn your crown
But how does the pain go away?
How do you flip that switch in your brain?
Forgiveness helps your pain
So you can wake up to a new day
Forgiveness doesn't mean they can get away with anything
You hold the power
Once you step into the ring
Don't cower
Forgiving doesn't mean letting them hurt you again
Don't let them cross that line
They did it once, twice, three times and then
You say you're fine
Forget. Forget. Forget.
Forget. Forget. Forget.
They crossed the line.
Forget. Forget. Forget.
Forget. Forget. Forget.
I am not fine.
