Adult Money (poem)

10 3 2

As a kid,
Your parents regulated everything you did.
As a kid,
You didn't have money to rid.

As an adult,
You have to think of the result.
But still, you can buy whatever your heart's desire.
Whatever you wish, you can acquire.

It's kind of funny,
That with adult money,
You don't have to buy adult things,
And you can still be ready for whatever life brings.

So when you feel like being a child,
Let that child run wild.
Use your adult money to get yourself some treats;
Buy books and toys and sweets!

In three months,
I'll have more responsibilities.
In three months,
There will be more possibilities.

Saving for college,
Buying a car,
(And I know it's a bad word but)
Managing a job.
What time will I have to be a kid?
I'll spend my adult money and not have much to spare,
But books will always have a place in my life.
With my adult money there will always be more.
