Chapter Twenty-Six

A/N - Hey guys and welcome to Chapter Twenty-Six. Time skip from the last chapter. Gif of Marcus ^^^^^

----- Hannah's P.O.V -----

Well Marcus basically planned a complete scavenger hunt around the villa and it was the most adorable thing ever. I have no clue how long it took to set up and plan but I am positive he got help. I can't even explain how touched I was by it all. I mean, I knew Marcus could be romantic at times but not THAT romantic. It probably took me about an hour and a half to go around the whole villa and find all of the notes that finally ended up on the roof that had been decorated so prettily and I found it extremely cute.

The roof had fairy lights everywhere, even though it wasn't dark, a table with sweets on it which I definitely loved and a circular table with a white table cloth on it and there was a ring box in the middle of the table along with champagne and some glasses. Tanya, Jim, Beth and Alfie were stood behind the table smiling at me and at first I couldn't see Marcus but as the others were smiling at something behind me I turned around to see Marcus coming towards me with a bouquet of roses. As cliché as that is but it was so sweet.

To kind of get to the point, Marcus proposed to me. I think that my brain is still trying to process everything that happened yesterday because it was a total whirlwind. I was not expecting Marcus to propose at all, we have been together for over a year but he was with Niomi way longer and he, clearly, never proposed to her. Saying that I am happy is definitely an understatement, I get to spend my life with both my best friend and the guy I love, I can't complain about that. I love Marcus so much and I honestly cannot wait to marry him even though we only got engaged yesterday.

I leave Marcus in bed because I have a feeling that he was up early yesterday so I want to let him sleep. I walk downstairs, in one of Marcus' shirts and some shorts, and go into the kitchen. I sit at the island counter and Beth slides a cup of coffee over to me "Thanks" I say and she smiles at me as does Tanya whilst the two of them lean against the counter behind them. I take a sip of my coffee "How does it feel to be engaged Hanni?" Tanya asks and I shrug "I don't know, I don't think that it has really sunk in yet actually" I say.

Beth nods in agreement with me "I was like that, it didn't sink in properly until about a week after Alf proposed" she says before taking a sip of her drink "Don't get me wrong, I can't believe Marcus has proposed and I am so happy that I will get to marry him" I say and I hear a deep chuckle from behind me causing me to turn around. Marcus is stood behind me wearing only a pair of shorts with his arms crossed "Why did my fiancé leave me in bed?" he asks walking towards me "Because you got up early yesterday so I wanted to let you sleep" I say and he sits down next to me "Well thank you but next time wake me up or go back to sleep Honey" he says.

Marcus has just told me to get changed as we're filming a video now. Marcus wants to film a video announcing our engagement, I know it only happened yesterday but I don't mind telling the viewers now. I mean, being engaged is something that you should be happy about, right? So why not tell the people that mean a lot to you. Marcus' viewers may have given me some hate to start with and it really did hurt but now I have gotten used to those people that still don't like me. Marcus' viewers are the reason he is where he is now and he will always be grateful to them.

The two of us walk up to the roof; Marcus sets up his camera whilst I put two chairs in front of the camera so that we have our backs to the view that looks out over the garden. Marcus sits down on one chair and I sit down next to him. He looks over at me and smiles "You sure about filming this?" he asks and I nod "Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" I ask and he shrugs "It's just, I proposed yesterday. I want to tell the viewers as soon as possible but I want to make sure that you are okay with it" he says and I kiss his cheek "I am fine with it" I say.

"Heeeeellllooooo" Marcus says waving at the camera after having turned it on "Me and this amazing girl are on holiday" he says putting his arm around my shoulder and pulling me into him.

I place my hand on Marcus' thigh, it is my left hand but as the camera is only angled at our top halves, you can't see my ring or anything. I rub Marcus' thigh with my thumb "It is lovely out here" I say and Marcus nods in agreement with me "It is definitely an amazing way to celebrate our anniversary" I say smiling at the camera.

"If you guys didn't know, a few weeks ago whilst Hannah and I were with Hannah's brother, niece and sister-in-law kind of" he says pausing whilst I laugh at his name for Lydia "We had our one year anniversary but our friends being the amazing people they are rented this villa out as a form of gift to us so this is why we are here" he says and I nod.

"There is something we want to tell you though" I say and Marcus rubs my shoulder "Before anyone comments asking if I am pregnant, I most definitely am not pregnant" I say and Marcus sighs jokingly.

"She isn't pregnant, yet. May I repeat, yet" he says and I roll my eyes.

"Marcus and I are engaged" I say holding up my left hand so that the camera can see my ring, which I love by the way.

Marcus presses a kiss to the side of my head "I really hope you guys accept this" he says smiling slightly "This is something that is really important to the both of us" he says sighing a little as he speaks "We do love each other, we do want to be with each other and we want to be married" he explains.

"I think that is pretty much it for this video" I say looking to Marcus who nods in agreement with me.

"You know the drill" he says and I laugh "If you liked this video give it a thumbs up" he says and the both of us hold up a thumbs up "Plus don't forget to subscribe" he says giving the camera a big smile.

I laugh at him again "All of our links are in the down bar below" I say pointing to the floor as always.

"Bye guys" he says as the two of us wave goodbye at the camera.

Hopefully, everything will go well and the viewers will accept our engagement.
