Chapter Twenty-Nine

------ Hannah's P.O.V -----

I still have no clue what Alfie and Beth want. I mean, it is unlikely for them to randomly call us and ask us to come over. If they randomly call us it's just to suggest something rather than asking us to come. I think it should be fun though because they are our best friends and I rarely have a boring time with them. I love them both to death so I will never mind going to see them. Plus I want to see their new place so bad, I wonder if I can convince Beth to help me out with some stuff at our flat. I have organised everything but I want her to help me with the balcony.

We are currently driving to Beth and Alfie's place. They're house is not in the city, it's a little further out but it is in a residential area. The area is so nice, I went with Beth when she went house hunting and I only saw it empty so I have no idea how it looks now. Marcus reaches across for my hand and intertwines our fingers "I love you" he says looking at me momentarily before he turns into Beth and Alfie's road "I love you too" I say and he smiles "You always smile when I say I love you" I say and he chuckles "Because sometimes I still can't believe that this is actually happening" he says.

I rub my thumb over his "We are getting married Marky" I say and he smiles at me "I am well aware of that. I can't wait for you to have my last name" he says and I blush slightly "You are way too cute sometimes" he says rubbing my thumb with his. Marcus pulls onto Beth and Alfie's drive "Let's go" he says getting out of the car. As I grab my bag from the back seat, Marcus runs around to my side of the car and opening my door "What a gentleman" I say and he laughs "Only for you Honey" he says shutting my door.

After he locks the car he puts his arm around my shoulder and I put my arm around his waist with my bag on my other shoulder. We walk up to the house and Marcus rings the doorbell "MARCUS AND HANNAH ARE HERE" Alfie shouts when he opens the door "COMING" I hear Beth shout as Alfie invites the two of us in. Beth rams into me making me laugh "Hey best friend" I say and she releases me "I missed you" she says and I smile "Missed you too" I say and I hear someone clear their throat from behind me "What about me Hanni?" Alfie asks with a pout on his face "Come 'ere then" I say opening my arms and Alfie runs to me picking me up and spinning me around.

When Alfie places me back down we all go outside onto the decking, it's a niceish day so we might as well make the most of it. We sit down around the table and Beth and Alfie exchange a worried look "Is everything okay?" Marcus asks as he places his hand on my thigh "We want to tell you something" Alfie says and Beth nods nervously "I am pregnant" she says and my mouth drops "Are you being serious?" I ask and she nods "Yeah. Around 2 weeks so far. My first scan is in a couple of weeks" she says.

I look to Marcus who is smiling "We're happy for you guys" he says and I nod in agreement "Most definitely. That kid is going to have the best Aunt and Uncle ever" I say and they laugh "Obviously" Alfie says and Beth smiles "I know they will be spoiled rotten" she says and I nod "Hell yeah" I say and everyone laughs "It is expected for you two though. I mean, a newlywed couple and all that" Marcus says and Beth blushes "Awh, you cutie" Alfie says hugging her "Shut up" Beth says pushing him off of her "But I just want to love you" he says pouting "Well you got her pregnant" Marcus says and Alfie's mouth drops "MARCUS" he shouts in mock horror.

The lads are still outside but Beth and I are in the kitchen. Beth hands me a coffee and I smile "Are you excited?" I ask referring to her bundle of soon-to-be joy "Of course I am. It's nerve-wracking though" she says and I smile "That's understandable Beth. But you have Alfie, me and Marcus" I say and she returns my smile "I know and thank you. Having my best friends with me will be a load of help" she says taking a sip of her drink "I think you will be a great Mum" I say making her smile again "Thanks Hanni" she says.

----- Marcus' P.O.V -----

The girls are inside at the moment, leaving Alfie and I outside drinking which isn't a bad thing. I think Hannah and Beth wanted to talk for a little bit. I still can't believe that Beth is pregnant. I have known Beth for years and knowing that she is going to be having a kid is crazy, plus it's a kid with one of my closest mates which makes it even crazier. I always knew Beth and Alfie were a complete and utter match for one another since day one and all of this has proved it for me. Still, I couldn't be happier for them.

Now that Beth and Alfie are going to have a family, it's making me think about having a family with Hannah. I think Hannah will be an amazing Mum when the time comes because she is so caring and I know that she will do everything in her power to make sure that our children will have everything they ever need as will I. With the job that I have, I don't need Hannah to work, she can be a stay at home Mum and I will still bring home more than enough money for us. I know it seems like I am bragging but I am not. I have always wanted to be the guy that brings home the money for his wife and his wife doesn't have to work if she doesn't want to.

Hopefully, with Hannah, I can make that a reality.
