Chapter Twenty

Maya POV

I turned around and I saw Josh.

"Hey Josh." I said quietly.

"Hi Maya. Who's your friend." He asks, pointing at Lucas.

"Lucas Friar." He said as he extended his hand for Josh to shake.

"Joshua Matthews." He said as he shook Lucas's hand.

There was this awkward silence that filled the air.

"I should go now. Catch you both later." Josh said as he walked away.

"Who was he?" Lucas asked once he was out of sight.

"He was my ex-boyfriend. He didn't think our ages matched so we broke up." I said as I shrugged my shoulders and opened my house door.

It's a tiny apartment complex.

It's the best that we could rent as of now.

We sat down on my couch and discussed Josh for a good half an hour to an hour.

Lucas had to leave and it was just me.

My mom wouldn't be home until really late tonight.

I take a quick shower, slip on some pajamas and climb into bed.
