Chapter Twelve

Farkle POV

I see Riley whisper something in Maya's ear.

Whatever is was must've hurt her in a way.

She darts out the cafeteria and I follow.

She keeps running and a car comes and hits her.

People surround her and she faints on the ground.

I kneel down and check her pulse.

She's still breathing.

I dial 911 and they take her to the hospital.

I need to talk to Riley.

Once Maya's settled in, I go back to school.

Once I entet the halls, the bell rings.

Well I skipped 2 classes.

I spot Riley and Lucas talking.

"Hey guys!"

"Hiya Farkle!" Riley says all cheerfully.

"Hi Farkle."

"Riley, can I ask you something?"

"Sure! What is it?" She asks, a smile still on her face.

"What did you say to Maya at lunch?"

Her smile falters and she tenses up.

"Nothing." She lies.

"Oh please. It's something. If it was nothing, then she wouldn't be in the f***ing hospital right now!"

"Woah! Slow down buddy." Lucas butts in.

"What do you want Cowboy?" I ask, glaring at him.

"If she said it's nothing, it's nothing, let it go!" He tells me threatingly.

"You know what? Fine! Be that way. And Riley, if Maya doesn't make it, it's all your fault!" I yell and run out the school.

Maya POV

I open my eyes.

There's white everywhere.

I see my grandpa.

Wait, he's dead.

Am I dead?

"Grandpa?" I ask in disbelief.

"Hello dear." He says flashing me a warm smile.

I run up to him and give him a huge hug.

"Am I dead?" I ask.

He strokes my hair.

"It's up to you dear. If you want to be down on Earth or be up here. Whatever choice you make, I'll always support you up here."

Farkle POV

I enter Maya's hospital room.

I hold Maya's hand.

"Please don't die. We need you here."

Tears were forming in my eyes.

After a few minutes of silence, the noise I wanted to hear the least rings in the whole room.

Beep...

I could make her die though but then I could make her live
