Chapter Five

Connor's POV

I was glad that Angel was awake, also happy that Nyx blessed her and I. Yeah I'm Angel's protector I'm pretty sure you all are mad at me for letting my best ex-friend hurt my baby cousin, the daughter of Nyx. You see Nyx came to me in a dream and told me that this was going to happen. When Nyx came to me, I was heart broken for i had just lost my parents to a group of hunters that hunt our kind of people. She blessed me with moon shape mark but not on the forehead but on the back of my left shoulder blade. Nyx told me that protectors/warriors had theirs there so they could blend in with people more.

"Angel will help my children see the light," Nyx told me. I went to get some food for my cousin since they told her to stay off her feet for a day or two. Once i got back upstairs She was still sleeping so I put the food next to her bed and left. Today my uncle mad all of us go to school but Angel stayed home. Mark and Jordan think it's safer for Angel to get home schooled now since she is blessed by Nyx and i agree with them. I think I should tell them about me and what Nyx told me so I can get home schooled with Angel. But whatever my mark just looks like a guy ass tattoo someone did on me. At school Nicole came up to me asking where Angel was I told her she was at home sick and wouldn't be at school for a few days.

Few Hours Later

I went to all of Angel's teachers to get her homework and gave them the letter explaining that Angel was getting home schooled now. They gave a node of agreement and gave me her homework. Then I left the school to head home. On the way home Luke walked up to me pissed off. "so you decided that you join weak little Angel's side Connor?" I looked at him, "You know what Luke we aren't friends you had some fucken nerve to attack my fucken little cousin." He looked at me shocked.

"You didn't know that she was my cousin did you? She was just a human with gifts and you went and had to beat her because she broke up with you when she found out that you cheated on her. My guess is you only wanted to run this town or get rich and only way you could was date her and marry her. You never truly cared for her did you?" Luke just looked at me shocked like I found out the truth about him but really a knew along time ago, with that I walked around Luke and went home. At the house I gave Angel her homework and told my Aunt and Uncle that the teachers agreed to Angel being home schooled and would send a teacher to come teach her at home. Then I went to my room to do my homework and looked at my tattoo in the mirror.

Angel POV

I didn't mind staying home today but to hear that I would be getting home schooled I did mind, because I wouldn't be able to see Nicole or Connor during the day. So I decided to go talk to my father, I found him in his study. "Father can I talk to you?" "Yes Angel, what do you need talk to me about?" "Must I be home schooled? Like I can wear makeup over my tattoo and not take part in gym. I just don't want to be without my friends, as is it's hard to see Nicole. Connor, him and I get along better at school. All I'm asking is that you let me keep going to school."

"I will think about it and let you know in the morning Angel okay, but for now go do your homework that Connor gave you to do." With that I left my father's study to go to my room to do my homework. I was just getting done my english paper when Connor came into my room. "Angel supper is ready," he said. I just sighed, got up to go downstairs for supper. My brothers and sisters just stare at me more then they had before Nyx blessed me. After supper I went back to my room to finish my homework. I heard the doorbell so I just stayed in my room, then all of a sudden my bedroom door was being opened by Edward.

"Hey Edward can I help you with something?" "No Angel I just came to see how were doing and ask you if you want to go out with me?" I looked at him shocked like I was lost for words, "I don't know Edward, your not just asking me because I'm blessed by Nyx." "No Angel I have liked you from the moment you ran into me in the school. All I'm asking is you join me for a movie in the city tonight and I promise to protect you." "Okay I will." Edward was smiling when I told him My answer the Alice ran into my room saying, "Shopping Time." I looked at her like she had three heads and she just started to pull me down the stairs and out to the car.
