They didn't believe it at first, Alex the love of Caitlin's life showing up in his Ford Focus.
Jay started to laugh but then saw the sadness and devastation in Caitlin's eyes and she just stood, mouth wide open, staring at him.
"Get in!" Caitlin screamed marching down the path to the taxi. She flung the door open and chucked herself in staring straight ahead. Trying not to cry.
As he drove past he stopped suddenly, rolled down his window and shouted "hi Jay!" Over the cool breeze of summer air.
She gave him a nod in return, and that's when she realised why Caitlin had been so upset. Alex had a girl sat on the passenger seat, holding his hand.
