Hey, this is gonna be different to what I usually do in this art book, but I just had to draw this in light of what happened.
As some of you may know, legendary voice actor Peter Cullen has passed away on the 26th of August, 2026. A lot of you would know him as the guy who voices Optimus Prime in Transformers. Hearing this news has been a punch to the gut for me. When I first saw it on Twitter, I thought it was a joke. Like, one of those "actor has turned this age today" but when I realized that it was real...
I was heartbroken.
Peter Cullen, as well as Optimus Prime, has been a huge inspiration for me. He was someone who I aspired to be; strong, kind and helping. And was also one of my big inspirations for wanting to become a voice actor. So, to hear that he suddenly passed away was hard to handle. I knew it was going to happen one day but I didn't think it would be so sudden.
With all that said, this is what I drew in tribute to Peter Cullen.

Even if his death has shocked millions, myself included, I know that Cullen would want us all to comfort each other in these times. He would want us to all be heroes. Real heroes. To be strong enough to be gentle.
So, to end this off. I want to thank Peter Cullen for what he did not just for my life, but for the life of every Transformers fan in this world. Inspiring us to be kind and help those in need, never letting our anger get to us.
