two days later
8:23am
Naomi, waking up from her slumber, was greeted by the enticing aroma of breakfast. She knew it could only be Leandrew, as Tae was the only one who knew her address.
Two days later, after their first encounter in five months, Naomi and Leandrew engaged in an extensive conversation, delving into their respective problems and self-perceptions. They hoped that this heartfelt exchange would strengthen their bond.
Naomi made it clear that they would take things slow, considering her decision to join Leandrew on a vacation.
She genuinely missed him and the way he handled her body.
Leandrew, in a candid moment, confessed his involvement with Keith. Naomi accepted his honesty, realizing that she might need to consider leaving her job sooner than expected. Despite this revelation, her loyalty to Leandrew remained steadfast, and she placed her trust in his words.
After a restful night, Naomi experienced the most rejuvenating sleep of her life, thanks to Leandrew's unwavering presence.
Later that afternoon, they were set to board their flight. Naomi was filled with excitement for the upcoming vacation, as it had been a long time since she had last indulged in such a well-deserved break.
As she walked to her kitchen, she spotted Leandrew behind the stove shirtless, revealing his numerous tattoos. It was difficult for her to control her feelings. He always turned her on in subtle ways, but she was trying to resist her desire for him, not wanting to repeat the mistakes they had made in the past. She hoped that this time, things would be different.
"Good morning, Leandrew," she said softly, walking beside him so she could see what he was cooking for them. He turned his head towards her, looking over her bare face. He didn't say anything before leaning in to kiss her lips. She slightly hesitated, stared at him with his eyes closed and lips poking out, begging for a kiss, before she gave in. He was almost irresistible.
"Good morning, babygirl," he asked while pulling away from the kiss, licking over the kiss, staring into her eyes, before giving his attention back to the eggs he was cooking. She smiled and turned away from him, going to grab two water bottles out of the refrigerator.
"I slept really well, better than I have in a long time," she said honestly. He agreed with her; he hadn't gotten a good night's rest in almost six months. He was happy to be back in the presence of his muse.
"Same here, that's crazy. We're leaving after this breakfast, right? I don't need you taking our flight, not that long. You can get cute later, right?" he asked, glancing back at her, then back at the food, not wanting to burn their breakfast while asking her so many questions while she sat on the black bar stool, staring at him, listening intently, taking in everything he was saying, soon agreeing with hesitation.
Moments later, he was sitting her plate down in front of her with her favorite breakfast sandwiches, homemade hash browns, and a side of fruit salad. Clearly, he had been having to feed himself. Out of everything they talked about in the past, present, and future, they hadn't spoken about his hospitalization, which she knew about. She had just acted like she didn't, but she did.
He trusted her with his entire heart. She had his social security card, his original birth certificate, and his passport, which he never needed because he flew private.
She appreciated that he still remembered all the small details about her. She often wondered how many times he had thought about her over the time they were apart.
Things were different now. It felt different. His energy was different, and the way he touched her was much softer than before, as if he wanted to do no wrong. He was willing to give it a try and give it his best, recognizing his efforts made Naomi's heart flutter.
The couple spent their entire morning together, cherishing each other's company. Naomi decided to get her nails and toes done before they left. They went to the salon, and Naomi was back within an hour. Naturally, Leandrew accompanied her, unwilling to leave her side for any reason. He even got his nails and toes cleaned and trimmed with a clear coat, which Naomi loved and teased him about.
After being away from Naomi for a long time, Leandrew finally found peace in his soul. He realized how much he wanted to give her because she deserved it. She had stood by him in his darkest moments, never betraying or judging him. She accepted him as he was, knowing he had issues. He was grateful for her and thankful that she was giving him another chance.
No one had ever made him feel the way she had. No one had taken the time to get to know him, only judging him by his image and word-of-mouth. This time, he was determined to make it right and put his best foot forward.
He felt as if all the pain he had caused her could have been avoided if he had been honest from the beginning. But he hadn't been, which is why things weren't immediately going back to the way they were before they were in love.
He noticed that Naomi was different. She talked differently, her voice softer than before. She took her time when she spoke to him, choosing her words carefully as if she was still unsure of the decision she was about to make.
He was in the process of giving up his street lifestyle and taking the necessary steps for his future with his wife.
He wasn't going to repeat the mistakes he had made before. He had made a promise to himself and God. The five months he had spent away had allowed him to build a relationship with God and try to make amends for his past wrongdoings, hoping for forgiveness.
Naomi had changed him, and their relationship had had a profound impact on his entire life. He wanted nothing more than to be the best man for her because she deserved it.
As they finally boarded the private jet, they prepared themselves for the flight to their destination. The pilot prepared them for takeoff, and the couple spent their time laughing, talking, and asking each other questions they had never thought to ask. They wanted to know each other on a deeper level, having met themselves on a deeper level during their time apart and wanting to continue that connection.
Leandrew didn't know if he could love her any more than he already did, but he felt that he could. He always felt indescribable feelings when he was around her.
She made him feel as if he could never need another drug again because she was his high. Being in the psychiatric facility had opened his eyes to so many things, and she was one of those things, and it hadn't been many things.
He never wanted to imagine his life without her again.
During the flight to Puerto Rico, Leandrew couldn't help but get excited about all the adventures he had planned for him and his lover.
In her presence, she made him feel like a child in a candy store.
