It had to be today of all days!

I didn't believe I would actually get my period because, I don't know, I had lost hope and was going to talk about it with Raj bhai about it in the next few days.

But I still wanted to check. It was better than getting blood stains on such a pretty dress.

And it has to be the best decision, because right now, I am sitting in Siddharth Thakkar's washroom, the dress pooled around my waist, my stomach twisting with harsh cramps, and I finally got my periods.

When I say harsh, I totally mean it. Because this shit is unbearable and I feel like crying.

Cherry on the top?

I don't have pads.

Yes, throwing sarcasm at myself is my coping mechanism right now.

There was a knock on the bathroom door, followed by Siddharth's voice, "Ruhi? Is everything okay?"

Siddharth has been nothing but helpful and caring since he saw me in pain.

"I... umm... Siddharth, I got my periods."

"Oh."

There was a moment of silence before he said, "Should I give you your purse? You have pads?"

"I... I don't have pads."

"You don't?"

"Nope."

Silence again.

A whimper left my mouth due to the pain before I could stop myself.

These cramps are getting worse with each passing second.

"Ruhi?"

"Yes?"

"Do you-"

"Yes, I want you to order some pads for me. Please."

"Umm...Sure. I'll just order them real quick. Do you need anything else?"

"No."

There was no response for a long time after that.

Did he fall asleep or what?

Just then, the door bell rang. I heard the opening of the door, followed by Siddharth's muffled voice, before the door closed again.

A second later, he knocked on the bathroom door, "Ruhi?"

"Yes?"

"Umm... the pads are here. Will you open the door so that I can give it to you? I can keep it here and go to the other side if you want. I don't want to make you uncomfortable."

I wanted to laugh at how understanding he sounded, but the situation didn't let me.

"You can just hand it to me, it's fine.", I said.
