After Niall leaves I decide I might as well just go to bed. I was trying to drink enough to forget everything that has happened over the last few hours but it's no use. I was already feeling shitty then he had to come and try to make me feel worse. He tried to guilt me in to going back. I don't know if Liv was really as upset as Niall said but the thought of her in pain was almost enough to work. But I can't think that way. I can't keep trying to be her savior. She doesn't want me. I've tried so hard but nothing I can do will make her love me. I'm done trying. The sooner I realize it's over, the better off I'll be.

After a night of tossing and turning and virtually no sleep I'm woken up to the sound of my phone ringing. I let the first call go to voicemail but whoever it is keeps calling.

"What?" I answer without checking to see who it is.

"Well you sound like a real chipper chap this morning." Paddy says from the other end of the phone.

"Sorry. Rough few hours. What's up?"

"Just wanted to let you know we got you a flight out at noon."

"Great. What time is it now?"

"Ten."

"Fuck. Alright I'll be there." I say, dragging myself out of bed.

"I'm in the middle of a layover now. I'll meet you in LA."

"You really don't have to do that." I tell him without attempting to hide my annoyance.

"Yeah I do. You're gonna be in LA. You need someone to look after you." He explains.

"I don't need someone to look after me. I'm a grown ass man." I say angrily.

"Hey hey calm down. I didn't mean anything by it. I'm just doing my job." He says, trying to diffuse my temper. Well there's three people I've blown up on in less than 24 hours. Actually four if you count the lad from room service.

"I know. Sorry. I'll see you in LA." I tell him apologetically and hang up before something sets me off again.

I quickly go to the bathroom and brush my teeth and throw some water on my face. Clearly I didn't drink enough to affect my memory but I did have enough to give me a massive headache. I try to ignore it while I throw on sweats and a hat to conceal my messy hair. I look like hell. I have circles under my bloodshot eyes and my beard that was slightly scruffy yesterday now looks unkempt. Not that I have time to care. I'm out the door in less than 10 minutes. When I get to the airport I make it through as quickly as possible and luckily don't get spotted by anyone. I don't know if I would've been able to smile and take pictures right now in this mood. I try to sleep on the plane but again, I'm too restless. I'm relieved when I finally feel the plane start to descend. When I get off I'm greeted by Paddy and we head off to our waiting car.

Instead of staying in a hotel, I'm crashing at Niall's house in Calabasas. Louis is already here and Niall is planning on meeting us out here at the end of the week. I'm pretty sure Harry is still in LA too but he has his own house. I may have to take refuge there if Niall is still down my throat when he gets here. I'm unpacking in one of the guest rooms when Louis pops his head in.

"What are you doing here so early? And where's the missus?" He asks, sounding way too chipper.

"Don't start with me." I say without looking up.

"I'm not trying to start anything. What's your deal?"

"Don't act like you don't know." I tell him, rolling my eyes.

"Don't know what? Payno what the hell are you talking about?" I thought he was playing dumb but it really seems like he has no idea what happened.
