I Love You

Chapter 2

The next morning, Richard and Claritsa woke up to the noise of rain, slamming with force against their metal windows. The storm was still very active in their area, trees being forces around by harsh winds and the occasional trash cans lying around the neighborhood.

Claritsa: This seems to get worse and worse, I'm surprised the light hasn't gone off by now.
Richard: Yeah, same here, let's go see what these two are doing.

As they headed downstairs, the were confronted with a mouth watering aroma.

Richard: Someone's cooking?

Their pace increased, no one in their house knew how to cook, so who could be cooking at this time in the morning? They passed their second daughters room (Frances), the sofa in which both Angelie and Alex where laying in, everyone was up. Finally, upon entering the kitchen, they saw Alex teaching Angelie and Frances how to cook.

Richard: What's going on here?
Alex: Oh, Good morning Sir, I'm just teaching your daughters how to make a good stormy day breakfast.
Claritsa: Stormy Day Breakfast?
Alex: Yeah! Mom said dad would always do it when storms like these rolled in, so since the storm hasn't cleared, I thought I'd make it for all of us.
Angelie: We were going to surprise you guys but oh well.
Richard: Frances?! You're in this too?!
Frances: Yeah, how could I pass off the opportunity to make Fried/scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon and hot chocolate!
Claritsa: Well, we don't usually eat so much.
Alex: That's fine. The rest we put in the fridge, later tonight you eat breakfast for dinner
Richard: Breakfast for dinner?! That's all I needed to hear, where do we start?

Everyone seemed occupied with breakfast. Angelie and Alex had egg and pancake mix duty, Frances was on Bacon duty and Richard went out to a nearby store to get ingredients for the hot chocolate, along with some marshmallows and a few Harry Potter movies. Claritsa was in the living room watching the news report on Erika.

News Reporter: As you can see here, Erika is moving at a much slower pace, we estimate she's moving at about 25mph, so expect these showers to continue up until tomorrow. That is of course, if this doesn't keep slowing down, if that were the case however, I would say by my personal opinion, that this phenomenon will stay above us for at least 2 days, of course counting tomorrow. Right then, a shout was heard.

Alex: Breakfast is done!

Richard walked in at that moment with the ingredients and movies.

Richard: Just in time. I brought some movies to watch for a few hours too.
Alex: OK, everything's set too.
Claritsa: I guess.

Everyone sat down in the living room family couch, stuffing their faces with breakfast and watching the first Harry Potter movie. Claritsa and Richard were laying in the center of the couch, Richard's arm on Claritsa's shoulder, Frances would constantly look down at her phone and at the movie all at once and Angelie sat in the corner of the couch with Alex's head between her legs, as he sat on the ground, while watching the movie, Angelie stroked his hair as he texted his mother, letting her know of his current state.
At the end of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Alex noticed that the only one paying attention to the movie was Frances, Angelie's parents fell asleep and Angelie was kissing Alex all over his face, acting like the goofy girlfriend she is. Few hours had passed and the rain was still as strong as ever, not showing any signs of decreasing. Suddenly, Alex got an idea. He got up, grabbed his skate board and went outside.

Angelie: Alex, what are you doing?!
(Richard and Claritsa wake up and head to the front door.)
Alex: I wanna have some fun out here for a while, being inside all day makes me uneasy.
Richard: We're all going to get uneasy if something happens, now come one, get in here!
Alex: Come on guys, the rain is great!
