I Love You

Chapter 11

Morning rose, everyone was still asleep except for Alex, who had woken up early just to see Angelie's reaction. He stroked her hair softly, just enough to keep her asleep. Looking at her made him go off on a journey, especially because he heard most of what she had said the ray before. A Nurse walked in and saw Alex, he quickly gave her the "please be quiet" sign as she entered to check Alex's health. He seemed OK, sure sign that the worst had past, but he was obviously not in any shape to be dispatched. The Nurse walked out of the room and Alex went back to stroking. Not long after Frances woke up and Alex gave her the same sign he gave the Nurse. She was delighted to see him completely well, she slowly woke her parents up, also giving then the sign and telling them to look. Alex seemed as if nothing had happened, all that was left on him was the bandages they placed on the shoulder. Angelie felt as her hair was stroked softly, in a way only Alex knew how to do. She slowly opened her eyes to see who could be stroking her hair in that way. Her eyes lit with excitement, tears rolled down her face as she became relieved at seeing her boyfriend back to his old self, she could only stand still in fear of it turning out to be a dream.

Alex: Hi princess.

(Angelie instantly jumped on him.)

Angelie: It's not a dream, you're actually awake!
Alex: You know... It still hurts a lot right!
Angelie: I'm sorry, but I can't let go, I just can't believe you're finally awake.

(Angelie cried tiers of joy, the happiness became so overwhelmingly powerful, even though she caused him pain, she kept hugging him tight.)

Richard: Angelie come on, you're hurting him baby girl.
Claritsa: Its kinda cute you know.
Richard: At least I can see she's at her happiest.
Frances: "Thank Goodness."

(Everyone became delighted at Alex's awakening, they all went up to hug him, all showing their concerns for him.)

Alex: Did anyone call mom?
Claritsa: Oh honey, I'm sorry, she said she couldn't be here right now, but that she'll be here in the day of your dispatch.
Alex: Really?
Claritsa: I know you would've wanted her here, but she just can't make it.
Richard: "Insensible bitch."
Alex: "I feel so loved right now."

(Alex turned to the window as he tried to stay calm and not let his feelings ruin the moment.)

Angelie: Hey.
Angelie: Come on, don't let this put you down, sure she has an obligation to be here and all, but you have us here, we'll be here as long as you're here.
Angelie: I promise.

Alex became convinced his feelings were just having him miss out on the bigger picture, his family was still here, the people who actually seemed to care about him were all sitting together in the same room and he wasn't just about to let that all be in vain because his mother wasn't there.

(Alex smiled and gave Angelie a kiss.)

Alex: Thank you baby.

(Angelie hugged him.)

Angelie: I'm just glad you're OK.
Alex: Why wouldn't I have been, I was only hit in my shoulder.
Angelie: Well, I was just thinking of the worst and there was so much blood, I thought you were gonna bleed out.

(Alex kissed her again.)

Alex: Thanks for worrying so much baby.
Angelie: It's what I do best.

(The Doctor walked in delighted to see Alex up and at em.)

Samuelson: I'm glad to see someone's awake.
Alex: Yeah, think I've slept enough.
Samuelson: That's what I like to hear, how do you feel?
Alex: Well, I was hugged viciously just now, so I'm hurting a little but other than that, I'm OK.
Samuelson: That's good.
Alex: So when can I go home?
