A cold, frigid morning arose, surprising Alex, who had his covers all the way up till his head. He got up to the sound of struggles the only other person in the house with him was his mother, so he wondered what could be occurring. He got up and peeped out his door and into the kitchen, where he aw his mother, fighting with the stove which seemed to be causing some type of trouble. His face turns serious, letting out "sigh" as he thought to himself; "And to think I was worried for a second." He went to check out the problem personally, causing Stella to react as if nothing was the matter.

Stella: Good morning honey, you sleep well?
Alex: Barely, how about you?
Stella: Nah, I barely blinked last night, I fell asleep one and then I ended up being woken up by the wolves howling.
Alex: I thought they helped you sleep in nights like these.
Stella: Yeah, but with all that's been going on, I guess they just give me the creeps now.
Alex: I see.
Stella: Yeah.
Alex: So what's wrong with the stove?
Stella: Oh its being a bitch is all, don't concern yourself with it though, lets just eat cereal.
Alex: Mom, you think that after two months anything in that fridge is suitable for us to eat?
Stella: I mean, when you put it that way...
Alex: Let's just go out and eat something.
Stella: Yeah, I guess you're right, let's go.

As they walked to the car, Alex noticed something, that beautiful red car his mother used to own had turned into an ugly piece of trash. There was still not valid or even a real explanation for why had this happen, as also for why had she disappeared for so long without any contact at all. The problems and secrets between the two were still very much alive, just disguised in a thin sheet of unawareness, one Alex had removed almost instantly. Once he got in the car, he placed his earphones on and began thinking of what he would say to his mother after breakfast. As he searched for a song to listen to, he noticed a text he had left un-opened. It was his mothers voice message, the one he'd received on the same day she had arrived. without a second to spare on this matter, he deleted it. As he did, a new message came in, this one from Angelie.

Angelie: Babe, when you can, please let me know if you'll be coming to school today, I think we should talk about what happened yesterday, you know, you telling your mother to go wait in the car and all, anyway please let me know if you're coming, I love you baby.
Alex: Hey princess, sorry, I don't think I'll be going today, we got up like ten minutes ago and we're heading out now to get breakfast, about the talking, yeah, we probably might have to, especially after what I'm gonna make her tell me today.
Angelie: Alex, don't push things too much, she just got back and she doesn't seem to remember what you told her over the phone on the day she left, don't aim back into hat spot please...
Alex: I wont, at least I'll try not to, there's just somethings I need to know and without a little demand, she wont let me know them, that's just how she is, especially in these situations.
Angelie: Alright, just please don't go over board.
Alex: That, I can promise.
Angelie: I Love You.
Alex: I Love You too, hey can you do me a favor?
Angelie: Yeah, what is it?
Alex: Tell the teachers that I wont be going and please take a picture of today's work for me and send it later when we talk, I'll be sure to go tomorrow.
Angelie: OK, I can do that.
Alex: Great, let's talk later babe.
Angelie: OK.
Angelie: I LOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEEEE YOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alex: Lol, I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEEEEE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Before Alex knew, they had already arrived at the place, it was an IHOP.

Alex: "Now she tries to buy me back, knowing this is my favorite place for pancakes, trust me, this isn't gonna work."

They entered and were directed to a table, Alex took a seat, waiting for his mother to sit across from him. When she did, she gave him a big smile, in short, telling him everything would be OK. Each ate two plate fills of pancakes and afterwards they just sat there, waiting for the tab so they could go ahead and leave, but the lady never passed their table.
