*Makayla's POV*
Matt went to go answer the door and I heard a familiar voice. Was that Liam? What is he doing here? Ugh Matt didn't tell me and I look like a hobo right now.
"Shit. I didn't tell Mac-" I hear Matt begin but I interrupted him and walked into the room casually.
"Didn't tell me wha- Oh! Hi Liam! What a nice surprise?" I said glaring at my brother.
"Oops?" He asked. Liam chuckled at his innocence.
"Hey Makayla! So judging from what I'm hearing you were not aware that I was coming to have a stay over, yeah?" Liam asked. I could practically hear him smirk.
"No. I want informed." I said still glaring at Matt.
"Well this is awkward." Matt mumbled.
"Excuse me while I go change." I said tearing my eyes off of my brother and looked at Liam. Wow he looked attractive but sad in a way. I heard Dani broke it off again. I didn't know her but I sort of felt she didn't deserve Liam he was a sweetheart.
"You look fine the way you are right now…" Liam trailed off.
"I'm in pajamas though." I protested. Did Liam say I looked okay? Really? Did Liam Payne just compliment me?
"So? I don't mind. It's just me. You look beautiful." He said bashfully. receiving a slap on the back of the head from Matt. "Ow…"
"Matthew!" I scolded my brother.
"I don't want him getting ideas!" He said in a funny manner. Liam looked at Matt and started laughing.
"Yeah you defiantly remind me of Louis." He said chuckling.
"Louis isn't annoying though…" I trailed off.
"What did you say!? Did you just call me annoying?" Matt asked acting angry. He was such a moron but you had to love him. I rolled my eyes.
"Breakfast is ready. Liam you hungry at all? I can make you something." I asked.
"I'm alright." Liam said walking in behind me with Matt behind him. Matt grabbed his plate like a scavenger and ran to the table.
"Moron…" I mumbled earning a slight chuckle from Liam who was leaning on the counter next to me. What should I say? Should I wait till he talks or…
"So Makayla…" Liam trailed off. Shit this is really awkward.
"Hi." I said looking at Liam who gave me a look like I was a weirdo. Then he started to laugh hysterically. I smiled heat rising in my cheeks.
"Obviously we both aren't good at conversation starters." He said looking at me in amusement.
"Not at all." I said bashfully.
"Me either. I think that's why I'm so bad with girls. I never know how to start a conversation. I came here to get advice about stuff from your brother really because if I ever ask the boys they just pick fun at me for it." He said, I almost choked when he said he was asking my brother. "What?" He said looking at me. I burst out laughing and almost fell onto the floor.
"My brother for advice… On girls!?" I said in disbelief.
"Well I figure he knows… I don't know." Liam said shaking his head and putting it in his hands. "There's other stuff too but I don't know how to ask it…" He trailed off sadly.
"Are you alright?" I asked concerned. The boy looked like he was about to cry so I put my plate near the sink and pulled him out of the room and into the living room. He sat on the couch and I sat next to him. He stared straight ahead and mumbled something I didn't understand. "Liam?" I asked. I saw tears welling up in his eyes and he squeezed his eyes shut sending a few tears out of his eyes. I quickly wiped them away feeling sympathetic for the poor boy. I hated crying and I bet guys hate it more especially in front of girls.
"Makayla I'm just so confused!" He exclaimed. "Dani broke up with me and it's not the first time! Am I too controlling for her!? What am I doing wrong? Am I not good enough? Maybe she just hates m-"
"Liam…" I cut him off putting a hand on his shoulder. "Stop worrying about it. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be. You aren't doing anything wrong and you're probably controlling it to a healthy point. You are defiantly more than good enough and she doesn't hate you." I said proving him wrong.
"Bu-"
"Nope, I don't wanna hear it. Liam you're a great person and probably were great to her. You're just busy and have a lot of stress from working so much. Now that you have a break just chill and have fun!" I said happily to him. He looked at me and smiled.
"How are we supposed to have fun when we can't really go outside?" He said to me.
"Liam! Are you serious! There are so many ways!"
"Not when the power is out. You can't play video games, watch footie on TV, or even watch cartoons!" He complained.
"You are so absorbed into technology its almost disgusting. How long are you staying here?" I asked.
"Uhm… not sure."
"Well buddy. I'm going to show you why real fun is! MATT!" I yelled.
"Hmm?" he said walking into the room and looking to me.
"Lets play a game." I said looking at him with a smirk. He winked knowing exactly what I was thinking.
