*Makayla's POV*
About a week after Liam kissed me the storms stopped and rebuilding had started in the town. The school was destroyed and they decided that we are just going to go to a different building in the town that way we can finish school. As of now it's been two weeks after Liam kissed me and I'm going back to school. Liam left to go to London when the storms passed. He said he'd try to call me every night and text me during the day. He also told me if I ever feel down that he'll come home and see me. I told him no but he insisted that it was necessary.
"You want a lift there?" Matt asked as I was eating my cereal.
"Sure!" I replied enthusiastically.
"You're so upbeat and happy lately. Is there a reason?" He asked wiggling his eyebrows. I shrugged. I'd been really happy because Liam was here for me and all. But I believe my brother had been inferring that Liam and I were dating. Which no, that was not happening. Liam was only a friend. Plus he had just broken up with his girlfriend and he only kissed me to shut me up. After that day he hadn't kissed me again but I'd find him paying close attention to my actions probably assuring himself that I'd be alright.
"Matt I'm going to be late!" I said looking at the time and realizing it was almost 7:00 and the temporary school location was a fifteen minute drive with traffic stops due to construction. I ran to the door grabbing my bag and running to the car. Matt came jogging out shortly after me and hopped in the car and almost immediately starting it and driving away. Matt had feet of steel because he drove so fast and I sometimes got afraid he would go off the road and crash. FInally we arrived to the new location and I kissed Matt on the cheek running out of the car and into the school. I had two minutes to get to class.
"Scott!" I heard a familiar voice holler at me. I didn't look I just kept walking. "It's a mistake not listening to me you know? I'll make you pay for it later." She warned I just began walking faster finally reaching my first class as the bell rang. I heaved a sigh of relief and walked to an open seat by myself. Somehow I felt that this day would defiantly be a living hell.
*Lunchtime*
"ALL STUDENTS MAY MOVE TO THEIR NEXT CLASS." Stated a booming voice over the intercom. They had to do that only today since the bells haven't been set up yet. Surprisingly I hadn't seen Reagan all day but as I walked to lunch I got that feeling in my stomach that I always got when she was around. I grabbed some lunch and sat at a table in a corner. I looked around the room. Same old cliques and same old people. It was as if they hadn't missed a day . I finally landed on the popular table seeing Reagan and her many friends. She then looked over to me and smiled evilly and said something to her friends. I stood up and began to walk towards the doors. But she was walking after me. Shit. So then I burst into a full out run and stumbled into a classroom.
"Makayla?" Said a familiar voice.
"Shh." I bused watching as Reagan passed by with her friends.
"Where the hell did she go?" Grace said in her nasally voice.
"Ugh I have no time for that whore. Yet its so hard just not to make fun of her and watch her curl into a ball." Reagan said causing the others to cackle. They walked down the hallway back towards the lunch room.
"Makayla? Are you alright, dear?" I turned and met with the face of Mrs.Turner.
"Yes I'm okay. I'm trying to avoid her even though it makes it worse. But I can't tell you that I'm better with the fact that this is the room I ended up in." I explained. She smiled and motioned me to sit in a desk as she made her way to the front of her classroom sitting in her desk.
