Chapter one

I am feeling cold as the breeze gets stronger and stronger as I walk deep into the forest. It has been 4 days since I have left home and started travelling on my way in search of someone that I have been wanting to know about my whole life. I have starved myself many times to the extent of fainting and dehydration.

Hi my name is Amy and am just a typical teenager who loves and enjoys what other teenagers enjoy doing. Anyone who looks at me can tell that I look too old for a 19 years old. However that doesn't bother me much. I'm an only daughter living with my dad and no mom. Well I used to live with my dad until I recently started my long journey to find someone who could help me find my mother. As I mentioned earlier I lived with my dad but my mom wasn't included in the story of the past 19 years of my life. Well you might be wondering why, I actually started my journey inorder to find my mother. The person whom I have been longing for all these years. And the person who has left me with no trace of a picture at the very least.

It was a on a stormy rainy night that me and my dad had this huge argument. He honestly is more than a dad he is like a friend to me. All the things my friends get to tell there mom's in my case my dad was the one to hear my story even the girl stuff and ofcourse about my fantasized highschool love stories. That was the extent to which me and my dad were close to.
However dad never liked to talk about mom, he always avoids it whenever I ask about her. That night was one of the times that I wanted to hear some stories about mom. And unlike the other days dad was sort of willing to let me know somethings about her. He said her name was Layla. She and my dad met at this furniture store where my dad works to make a living and she was the daughter of Mr. Douglas, my grandfather who was a great investor and owner of the 'Grand Dawn Hotel'.

As clear as it is my mom did live in leisure travelling with her dad and all but on the other hand my dad was the second born sibling in the family he and his big brother, uncle Ben were the one's who were the breadwinners of their family. Neither of their parents are able to make a living as they were both bed ridden for a long time. It was on a fine sunny afternoon that my mom and grandpa went to buy a furniture for aunt May,who just moved recently. Coincidentally they happened to go to the store where my dad used to work.

"I noticed how beautiful she is right after the first glance."my dad said expessing happiness in his lips which widened from corner to corner and sadness through his teary eyes. Well he was okay talking about her until I asked a question which I should never have. "Dad do you know where mom is, what I mean is that she would never have left if she knew that you loved her, right dad?" That's when dad's tears started running down his cheeks. That was the first time he scolded at me and it was for something I hadn't faulted. Or maybe is it? Did mom disappear because of me? Was I the reason that dad had to suffer all those years without mom? That's when I decided to find out the truth, that was the night that I left home leaving my dad lonely and uninformed to where my journey is.
