Chapter two

I had once visited Uncle Ben hoping that he would perhaps tell me something about Layla. He pointed out this place near Bahrdar which is way far from the place I live. And ofcourse I hadn't mentioned it to anyone that I was going, not even to uncle Ben.

I used up all the money in my piggy bank for the transport fees and also bought my favorite cookies snack from the 'Marti's'. How did I end up in a forest? I'm sure that you're all wondering. Well the thing is that I was actually told to make a right turn right after the bus station and I did. But I wasn't warned that it would be this deadly scary.

Ahhhhh on my half way here I was sweating from the noise that I had been hearing in the woods but only did I notice it was just the sound of a squirrel which was swarmed by a colony of ants, poor thing. I'm glad that it wasn't anything big because all I have learnt in my scout survival classes is to play dead and I wasn't confident about my acting since I was shivering so hard from the cold.

I'm wearing my favorite black converse with washed out blue skinny jeans and a dark grey hoody sweater. I had my backpack filled with nothing but a single blanket and my favorite cookies ofcourse, danish butter cookies yum. Right after taking a few steps I heard my stomach growling. I went into my backpack to get something to calm my hunger. And I found the last piece of cookie that I had saved from yesterday. I quickly chowed it down though I didn't feel full.

It has been the second day since I was lost in the woods. I spent the other two days trying to find my way (long story). Anyways I grunt my teeth and headed forward though I was wet and hadn't showered in 4 days neither have I had a proper meal. I couldn't imagine how worried my dad would be I realised I hadn't even wrote a note to where I would be heading. But it's for the best he wouldn't have liked nor approved of my journey no matter what kind of excuse I made.

As I take steps forward something seemed to appear infront of me. I saw an old house like a really old house with a chimney. I was so happy that I started sprinting towards it, not even noticing the big log that had layed infront of me.

"How are you feeling dear?"asked an old lady placing a warm towel on my forehead and slightly pressing it. At first I had panicked as I wasn't aware where I actually was. But it just took exactly 4 seconds to remember where I had blacked out. I slowly sat up straight from where I was lying and started to take a glance of where I am. My head felt heavy and I started feeling dizzy. I grabbed the old lady's hand and finally went unconscious.

The sun shone directly towards the window and lighten up the whole room. I opened my eyes slowly and started to remember how I had came here. I could hear foot steps getting louder and louder as the the old lady came closer and closer towards the room I am in. She knocked the door and entered into the room and walked towards me."Rise and shine dear" the old lady said as I sat upstraight facing towards her. "Where exactly am I?" I asked the old lady with a curious yet confused look. "Well first of my name is Brooklyn and I found you unconsciously lying infront of my front yard." "Oh I guess I troubled you I really do apologise for being such a burden, I guess I should leave now I do not want to cause anymore ruckus but thank you for your kindness I surely do owe you alot." I jumped straight out of the bed and jumped into my converse ready to continue my journey. But right then Brooklyn grabbed my hand and yelled, "Hold it right there missie now where do you think your going without eating the most important meal of the day?" She smiled at me and ofcourse I couldn't resist her suggestion as I was dying in hunger.
