Part 23

4 Weeks Later

The Meeting

Tommy spun around in his office chair and the band warehout waiting for Eric and Gene to show up. Paul stared at him making the younger man stop what he was doing and sit up in his seat. The two men stared at each other for a few minutes before Paul threw a piece of paper at the guitarist.Tommy laughed as the paper bounced off his face.

"What do you think is gonna happen?" Tommy asked

"Gene is gonna cave because he wants the money" Paul replied with a shrug

"I am going to cave because Shannon thinks it's important that I let Tommy nurture his new family. She said I missed too much with my children and tried to make Paul miss out. That's not fair." Gene said

Paul and Tommy looked at each other unsure of how to react. Tommy leaned forward in his chair and placed his hand over his mouth trying to hide his grin. Paul grabbed his arm as he leaned forward and folded his arm in front of his chest reading his best friends face.

"Youre joking arent you?" Paul asked

"No im very much serious" Gene replied

"Tommy call your wife now and tell her to paack her bags and AIdens. We leave in a week" Paul said smacking the younger mans arm

Eric walked in looking like he had just been worked over and smiled at Tommy. Tommy shooko his head knowing his girlfriend was just as addicted to sex as you were especially this early on in pregnancy. The guitarist stood up and shook Genes hand before walking out of the building.

(Reader POV)

You were playing on the floor with Aiden watching him crawl all over the floor. Tommy walked in whistling a tune that you didnt reconize. You looked up seeing the rin on his his face as he walked to you and lifted you to your feet. He kissed you on the lips hard and then spun you around. The guitarist smiled at you and you looked deep into his brown eyes waiting for him to tell you what he was hiding.

"You and AIden need to pack your bags." Tommy said

"What? Are you kicking us out?" You asked

"What? No! Baby Gene back down, you get to come on tour with us. We will fly home for your appointments" Tommy replied

"Omg! How did you get him to back down? What did Paul say? Is Tara going too?" You asked a million miles a minute

Tommy wrapped you up in a hug before picking little Aiden and dancing around the room with him. You smiled as you listened to him sing "guess who is going on tour with Dada and Mama" to the baby.

"I didn't think you would be this excited about it." You said

Tommy bent down and kissed your lips letting you know he would show you later how excited he was. You pulled away and pushed him back. He sat down on the floor and put Aiden back on his blanket.

"How about we celebrate? Steak and baked potatoes? I'll call Eric and Paul" Tommy said

"What about Gene ?" You asked

"You want him to come? It's a celebration" Tommy said still inches from your lips

"He's in the band my dear. Leaving him out of the band hang outs could make it bad for me and Tara" you replied

"I want you so bad I can't think straight. how about a nap and then phone calls?" Tommy said

He kissed you feverishly until Aiden smacked him in the face. You laughed against Tommy's lips. Tommy pulled away and grabbed the baby he laid him back on the ground . Aiden squealed as his dad tickled him. You walked over and grabbed the phone dialing the numbers to the bandmates and Tara.

Later That Night

"I cant believe how big this boy has gotten" Paul said as he held Aiden

"Hes growing so fast and hes adorable. ALmsot makes me want another one" Erin said

Tommy laughed as Paul whipped his head aroud Aiden and looked at his wife. She smiled behind her glass of wine. Tommy slapped the singer on the back and then took his son from him. Aiden played with the necklace on his fathers neck.

"Hes so active its gonna be nice to have a newborn in the house to get to witness all those first with." Tommy said

"Make sure you buy a video camera. When Paul was on the road I would send him tapes of the younger three so he didn't miss anything. He struggled so hard between wanting to be a provider and be at home with his family" Erin said looking at you

"Tommy wants us to be with him all the time." You said matter of factly

"Yeah that's what Paul wanted too but gene didn't like it so Paul abesed him" Erin replied

You looked at Tommy and he wrapped an arm around your waist. Erin looked at Paul who shrugged his shoulders and looked at Gene.

"Family belongs at home. So we have something to look forward too to come home to" Gene said walking in the door

"Not my family they belong with me" Tommy said

"Gene we talked about this. Tommy and Eric's families are coming on the road" Paul replied as he wrapped his arm around his wife

"Yeah, I remember," Gene said, raising an eyebrow. "But you know how chaotic it can get. I just want to make sure we stay focused on the music."

"Music is important, but family is everything," Erin chimed in, glancing at Aiden as he giggled at a shiny button on Tommy's shirt. "You can't put a price on those moments."

Tommy nodded, giving Aiden a playful tickle that made the baby squeal with delight. "Exactly! If we can bring our families along, it'll make everything so much better. I want to see my kids grow up, not just hear about it from home."

Paul grinned. "Your kids are going to have the best memories. And who knows? Maybe they'll even end up on stage one day."

"God help us," Erin laughed, rolling her eyes. "Can you imagine a mini Tommy running around?"

"Or a mini Paul?" Tommy countered, smirking. "Now that's a nightmare I wouldn't want to be a part of!"

Everyone shared a laugh, and you felt warmth spread in the room. The camaraderie among them always lifted your spirits. You could see how much they valued their families, how they fought for moments that would last a lifetime.

"So, when's the next tour?" you asked, sipping your drink, curious about how they planned to juggle everything.

"Next summer," Paul replied, his tone mixing excitement and apprehension. "We've got a lot of planning to do. But I'll make sure I'm home for the big moments, especially if we're adding another little one to the mix."

"Just make sure you don't miss the first steps or first words," Erin said, her voice softening. "Those are the treasures that make it all worthwhile."

"I won't," Paul assured her, his eyes sincere. "We're all in this together."

"And that's how it should be," Tommy added, his grip tightening around your waist as he pulled you closer. "Family first, always."

You smiled at him, feeling a swell of love and gratitude for the life you were building together. The night carried on, filled with laughter and stories, and you knew that whatever challenges lay ahead, you'd face them as a united family.
