This morning you woke up an hour earlier than usual so that you could explore the DWMA before anyone else gets there. At the DWMA you stumbled upon a room with a beautiful grand piano. You couldn't resist the temptation and started to play Chopin's Fantaisie-Impromptu. You've always loved music, all of the emotion put into the songs, the anger the sadness the joy, all of these emotions, they made you feel more human. All of your life you've been an outcast, a monster your own family didn't even want you. They told you that a monster like you could never feel and could never love and as a result of that can never be loved.
You finished the song and heard clapping. You got scared and jumped a little causing your hat to fall off exposing your cat ears. You then realized that soul was standing behind you. You quickly put on your hat hoping that he wasn't the observant type.
"Did you um see"
"Yeah"
"Are you scared?
"Should I be?"
"Not really"
"Then no I'm not"
"Are you at least creeped out?"
"Why would I be?"
"Well you just found out that a girl you just met has cat ears"
"So what. I'm a teenage boy who can turn into a scythe at will and battles kishin eggs from time to time"
"Good point, just promise me that you won't tell anyone"
"Ok, I promise"
The two of you just sat there in awkward silence for what felt like forever until soul broke the silence.
"(Y/n) I didn't know that you could play like that, you were playing Chopin's Fantaisie-Impromptu right?"
"Yeah I've always loved music. It's the onl-"
You were cut off by the bell. Soul walked you to class then you both heard a loud bang.
