My eyes darted around once more, looking for my entry number.

It wasn't there.

My entry number wasn't there.

Looking at the floor, I took a hold on Blaise's shoulder before he could complain to the officials.

"Stop", I whispered, "it's over."

I exit the room leaving Blaise who was looking at my back with concern.

Everything's over.

I lost.

I lost the match.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

He lost?

Is he alright? Doing okay?

I hope so...

"Sam!" I flinched

"Y-Yes?" I said facing....the wall.

"Ooooiii-" a wild hand appeared in front of me and the next thing I knew, I was facing my best friend, Vicky, who was squeezing my face with both hands.

"Honestly! Why do you always doze off after every match." Said the second placer, placing her hands on her hips.

The other archers exited the room.

The competition was over an hour ago and I (who got a tie placing first) gave the prize money to my cousin, who took half of the money wholeheartedly. I don't have any idea where he'll spend it- "Ooi! Are you even alive?" she complained slapping my face repeatedly.

"Ow." I whispered rubbing my red-sided face

"Geez." She sighed, annoyed.

"Ouch." I squeaked feeling the sting. Double ouch.

"Really what's happened to you." She grunted, taking out her facial ointment, she spread some on my stinging face, maybe she thought it would make me feel better.

She put on some more. Ouch.

"You've been spacing out after the match." She fixed her things.

She spinned facing me, I moved backwards, surprised.

"I kind of wanna remind you of my second place." She sang, with an evil grin.

I sighed , handing the fifty pesos, "Here suit yourself." , in her face.

"HEY!"

"Birds of the same feather really flock together." I chuckled.

"Wha-?"

"I was talking about my cousin." I stated making her face red light.

I laughed, a lot.

"Ahahahaha! haaa~"

"Oh well, at least I made you laugh." She cooed, doing a sweet prince-like pose while having a red face.

Saying that, I became worried...again.

"Hey, seriously. What's bothering you?" She drew closer.

"You should've told me you want your money back." she continued, placing a fifty pesos play money in front of me and I shoved it back.

"I was just thinking what Blaise junior will look like-"

"OOohh! Now I know why it's so quiet!." She announced, changing the topic.

"It seems that dragonata's nowhere to be found." She said, posing as a detective but I didn't get one word because I was worried about-

"Aaaaaiiiiii! Waaanaaaa swiiiiiinggg frooooom the chandelyiiiiiiirrrr! From the chandelyiiiiiir!!!!" I quickly covered my poor ear not wanting it to bleed.

"Hey knock it off!"

"Why aren't you listening to me!!!" she shouted in front of my face obviously pissed.

"Because of a guy okay?!" I answered back without thinking.

Her faced showed three emotions at the same time: shock, surprise, and pride.

All in all, her face was a mess.

"How dare you not tell me!!!" she pointed at me. I thought of correcting her its not a crush, but it's actually blooming. But I don't want to make things worse.

"Well it's not actually a crush." I muttered making her confused and saving myself from further 'investigation'.

I took my things.

"Then what is it?" Vicky asked, fixing her things.

"I'm going to find out." I whispered leaving her behind to find the person I need to talk to.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Excitement, anxiety, and giddiness were battling inside the confused, excited lady; whose about to feel something new, something big.

In spite of being scared, the lady is testing the waters.

She wanted to feel something beautiful, something wonderful, something called love.

Her phone buzzed and a message read 'He's in the gym.'

The four words doubled her sensations she have.

She made a random official take her to the gym, and when she saw it, she took off.

Her anxiety was holding her back but courage prevailed!

Even though she's not sure he'll be on the other side of the door, she didn't care. She's ready to face him, tell him, and be honest with him.

She pushed the door.

She was ready to face him with her words. But before she could even start, his words slapped her in the face, breaking down the wall of courage she had.

"I don't like Samantha."

Everything after that was a blur and only one thing was clear.

It was his voice and it hurt.

She didn't know that words were that powerful to make her tears fall.

She wasn't aware that her best friend who saw her two-stringed teary face whispered, ''so it really was not a crush."

The girl felt her heart was squeezed making it more painful.

Watching him corner Carla and say something horrible was painful.

It hurts. She's hurt.

Somehow, an invisible force made her tear her eyes away from his back, then, it made her flee.
